OllieGrocott: I hope so, he looks like he'll be a right star!

Justice: He's the next Jordi Alba...Valencia born and bred, and will go on to win titles in Spain with other teams :P

MisterLister: I'm very glad I got both young stars for fantastic bargains, in my opinion. Thanks very much pal :)

Walter: Yessir, I now have 10 Spanish players in my first team! Sorry :))

Feliks: Thanks.

Pauker: Thanks Pauker, I can tell he'll be a great footballer for us!
For that fee, with his ability and potential, that's a fantastic signing! Hopefully Gaya will be a key player in the side for many years to come.
pompeyblue: Thanks pompey, I think Gaya is going to end up being one of my best buys, considering his price :D

Inter and Borussia Dortmund complete Immobile plus cash for Icardi deal

Borussia Dortmund have agreed to pay €35M plus Ciro Immobile to bring Inter's Golden Boy, Mauro Icardi, to Signal Iduna Park.

04 JULY 2015 - MILAN

Ciro Immobile struggled in his first season in Germany and is now headed back to Italy, with Inter's attacking phenom Mauro Icardi headed the other way.

In undoubtedly the biggest transfer of the Serie A and Bundesliga so far, Borussia Dortmund and Internazionale have agreed an unprecedented swap deal between their two first-choice strikers; Ciro Immobile, after a difficult period in Dortmund, will return to Serie A, while Mauro Icardi, 2014's European Golden Boy, heads over to der BVB. Sweetening the deal for the Italian side is no less than €35M.

IMMOBILE: FLOP? — Two years ago, Ciro Immobile broke onto the scene in Italy by leading the league with 22 goals for Torino, earning him a €20M move to Borussia Dortmund. Things haven't been quite as rosy in Germany, however. In 27 appearances in the Bundesliga, Immobile scored just 7 goals, and often fell behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as first-choice striker. He will hope this move back to his homeland will aid his return to form.

THE GOLDEN BOY — Mauro Icardi, much unlike Ciro Immobile, is coming off the best season of his career. He scored 28 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions last term and won many accolades, despite being just 22 years of age. Many pundits are calling Icardi the next great Argentinian striker, to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero.

WEIGHT OF EXPECTATION — Not too many fans are expecting huge sparks from Immobile at Inter, but just about everyone in Germany is anticipating seeing this new, expensive attacking star in the form of Icardi. The weight of expectation could be crippling; one need only look at the likes of Fernando Torres and Andy Carroll to show that big fees can often be too much for a player to handle. However, if Icardi can deal with the pressure and thrive under it, he could become the Bundesliga's new young star.

I would've sold Immobile then pay for Icardi :/... if he flops..
35M plus Immobile for Icardi! :O Icardi is a good player in FM but not 35M better than Immobile. I would have waited until he became unsettled and tried to poach him for less. I hope the transfer pays off though.
Paid alot of money there, lets hope he lives up to the pricetag. (You took him from Inter bish :( )
You wanna be careful he doesn't end up as the next Andy Carroll.. :P
Pauker: They wanted some €50M or so for Icardi, so I figured throwing Immobile in would soften the blow, which it did. If he flops...I'm f*cked :))

JasonRM: Perhaps unsettling him could've worked, but I didn't want to wait for him to grow tired of Inter; I wanted him now. Hopefully it works out.

Walter: At least I gave them Immobile and lots of cash :P

Feliks: Icardi, Carrol, they share letters :O

Atletico's Correa makes big money move to PSG

After a breakout season with La Liga champions Atletico Madrid, 20 year old starlet Angel Correa has completed a €32M move to Paris St.-Germain. After meeting the Argentinian's release clause, PSG confirmed a €150k per week contract.

Angel Correa could be the next big Argentinian superstar attacker. Compared a lot to Sergio Aguero due to his height, build, and dribbling ability, and Atletico Madrid experience the youngster has today signed a five year contract with French moneybags Paris St.-Germain after the Ligue 1 champions met his €32M release clause.

Breakthrough to stardom
It's been a meteoric few years for Angel Correa. He broke onto the scene at San Lorenzo in 2012, making 48 league appearances and scoring 10 goals in that time and attracting the attention of many big clubs across Europe. Ultimately, he signed for Atletico Madrid, where he scored 10 goals and 10 assists in 38 appearances last year. Those top performances earned him interest from Europe's elite, and he has ultimately chosen the largest paycheck at Paris St.-Germain.

Atletico loses out
Danish manager Michael Laudrup had long lauded Correa as the future of the club. In fact, even before PSG had met the teenager's release clause, Los Colchoneros had offered the Argentina U21 international a new deal with a much higher clause. However, Laurent Blanc's big money offer was too much to turn down for Angel, and he has now been given the number 9 kit over in France. With the likes of Oliver Torres and Thiago Alcantara coming into Atletico, however, many fans are hoping Correa's loss will not really be felt.

PSG squad too bloated?
Angel Correa will join a very attacking midfielder-heavy squad at Paris St.-Germain. Javier Pastore, Clement Grenier, and young Ante Coric have all been competing for that playmaking role in behind the main striker. Correa will have to show his very best performances to make the first team spot his own and develop into the superstar that all fans of PSG and Argentina are hoping that he can become.

:( ill news mate! Oliver is a great player in my save, but so is Correa. I bet that you gave Inter extra money just b/c you pity them!
35 million and Immobile for Icardi, would say too much but if he performs then he will be worth it. Unlucky with Correa, would have gone on to become a top player.
Finally caught up! Some success to build upon and some very nice signings to look forward to seeing feature on both ends.
Correa was good, but who needs him when you have Carroll! Icardi!
Pauker: Yeah, Correa is a big loss, but I think Thiago and Oliver will be just fine without him. And..maybe :))

mo_123: Spent a lot, definitely, and lost a good player, but we are in good shape for the year ahead I think :)

P-KIDDY: Welcome to present day! Hopefully we can, as you say, build upon last year's success with these signings and make a push in Europe :D

Feliks: Andy Icardi FTW :P
