Season One: October
A great start to the season saw the Hawks soar to the top of the league table, with 10 games played. A hatful of goals had been scored, but there was no way this form could continue, surely not? The players would once again be tested to the maximum, with cup action also on the agenda in this set of fixtures.

League Table
3 more league games were played in October and we are still league leaders. Our advantage has been cut down to 1 point though but we do have a game in head over Maidenhead and are comfortably positioned in the play-off/promotion mix up.
Player of the Month
Bradley Bubb wins the ‘Player of the Month’ in October as the powerful striker scored 6 goals in 5 games. His pace and power puts him a cut above most opposition which Chelmsford found out, in particular, as he tore them to shreds by hitting a hattrick. The 27 year old now has 14 goals to his name, yet continues to forge out opportunities for teammates and in general keep hold of the ball well. Bubb is crucial to our season, and is an early bet for the Golden Boot award come the end of the campaign.
Overview
The headline? The Hawks suffer their first defeat of the season. Nonetheless, it was a decent month for the club with progression to the F.A. Cup 1st Round Proper, a highlight. The way we got there was even better, a 4-1 battering of fierce rivals Eastleigh, who are a division above us. The league form was mixed, a win, a draw, a loss but we did put in some solid enough performances in those games to pick up more points, so were a tad unlucky. Back onto the F.A. Cup, we have been handed a tough draw against League One outfit Crewe Alexandra.
