The away team has arrived with confidence going into the second leg, despite drawing the first game with an away goal.

Marcel Schmid has repeatedly emphasised he will not change how his team plays when they go up against stronger opposition, we will see tonight if he stays true to his word.

It’s the first time they have reached this position and they will want to continue for as long as they can!

It's filling up inside the Stadio Olimpico. The fans are in full voice as the second leg of this Champions League gets closer and closer to kick off

Marcel Schmid - It’s an unbelievable feeling. We are through to the last 8! Nobody believed we would make it through such a tough group we did that and keep on showing everyone how good we are.

We played fantastically and thoroughly deserved this for all the hard work. This is what football is about. The underdog story and teams not changing their ways to suit better opposition but playing with belief and
freedom.

Now we can be looking forward to the draw on Friday, we will all watch it together and then the final game of the regular season against LASK, which is very important for our ambitions. But first, we have to enjoy this night now, everyone involved in the club deserves it.

AUSTRIA IS PROUD!
What a fantastic achievement for the club! Whoever awaits you in the Quarter Finals certainly won't be given an easy ride, given the teams you have put to the sword already in the competition.

Thanks! It's very exciting times for this young manager. The Red Bull investment is paying off!

The draw has began! First out is record holders Real Madrid (13)

They will face...

What a fantastic game for the Austrian champions! Their first ever appearance at this stage and they get European Royalty, they will surely be pleased with that.

Holders Liverpool will host Atlético

Inter will welcome Barcelona

Arsenal are at home first against Porto

Lets see what the Salzburg manager has to say about the draw

Marcel Schmid - Real Madrid in the QF it’s the kind of tie we wanted at this stage. It’s the record winners of this competition, a side full of fantastic players and we are so excited to get it started.
Of course I think we have a chance. If I didn’t, we wouldn't turn up :). I believe in this team we have shown our quality all season and this tie will be no different, we will play on our terms.
Reminder -

Arsenal where awarded the Europa League title after Chelsea where found guilty of breaching UEFA regulations in the final!

Arsenal have impressed how they handles the situation which dragged in the summer and made the most of it, reaching the quarter-final stage for the first time since 2010!
Real Madrid are always a tough task in Europe, especially for a club much smaller in comparison. Good luck!
Thank you. I think it might be the end of the road for us :(
Real who?

It’s not what we wanted to happen, and we have allowed Rapid to go ahead of us. We must now really concentrate on the next phase of the competition and get back to the top of the league as soon as possible.
Luckily for us we have 10 games to make that happen, performances will improve, they have to after just 2 points from our last 3 games!

I think that result could be due to the players celebrations after the Roma game. Let's hope the distraction of Europe doesn't continue to cause issues domestically.

We must react soon!

Marcel Schmid - It was very important for the team to get back to winning ways not just for the league (we are back to 1st after Rapid 0-1 Altach) but to raise our confidence again that has been lacking domestically. We had a couple of weeks off before these matches which really helped us to focus on the next phase of our season.

April is a huge month for us starting with the ÖFB Cup semi-final and then we face Real Madrid, so it will be tough but the club is very excited to be in the position it is at the moment and we must continue to take every match as it comes.
