My 500th post has to go to something really special, and I couldn't think of a more suitable story than this legend of a story. Ok, it might have finished now, but it was truly one of the best I've ever read. I might even go back for the nostalgia in the future. If someone manages to top this, they should write a novel.

This comment isn't just for an awesome story, it's also for an awesome guy. Or Dabool is always helping, always chatting, and thankfully, always online. He will be sorely missed, and hopefully he'll write another one of his legendary stories someday.
guys, just published my tactic with Wood:

Boreham In Real Life

I was reminded of when you emailed Boreham Wood in real life a few weeks ago, and decided to email them myself, for you.

This is their final reply:

Dear Ben

Thank you for your email and apologies for the delay in responding, the snow has played havoc here. I had a training top and jumper sent to him yesterday and they assure me he will receive the items within the next week.

The paragraph is short and simple, as follows;

"Boreham Wood Football Club would like thank Or for his support and recent interest in our small club. We wish him well in his posting within the armed forces of Israel and hope he remains safe. All the best for the future... the players, management and staff of BWFC."

I hope this is okay, all the best

Matthew Hunter

I hope you like it, but this is only the first surprise :)
haha you're truly amazing Ben
Holy shit! Hahahaha. Blue you legend.

Morris: One of the Greats

Boreham Wood and England manager Joshua Morris was unheard of when he first took the Wood managerial seat in July 2012. Since then he has been a revelation in England’s south-east, going on to win numerous promotions and trophies.

In his first season in charge, he took Wood to promotion from the Blue Square South, winning the league title by an amazing 72 points. He quite rightly won manager of the season, and didn’t look back. The next season Boreham was in the Blue Square Premier, and took the league by storm, topping the table by 8 points. It had only took two seasons, but Morris was already a legend to some Wood fans.

In 2014-15, Boreham were in the nPower League 2, as a professional club. Their tremendous run continued, and they once again gained promotion, their third in as many seasons. Morris was becoming one to watch in the world of football. In League One, Boreham found it more of a challenge, yet most teams were no match for Morris’ men, and Boreham won a fourth successive promotion, an amazing achievement. They also went on to win the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy the same year.

A new season meant a new stadium for Boreham, and it certainly helped them on their way to winning yet another promotion, getting to the Premier League for the first time in their history. During the season Morris was approached by giants Liverpool to be their manager, but turned it down to stay with the club he loves.

2017-18 was the first season in the Premier League for Morris’ Wood, and understandably the first without finishing top of the league. Halfway through the season there was speculation he could join Manchester United at the end of the season, but shrugged it off, and went on to finish 6th in his debut season in the Premier League, even finishing above Liverpool, who went down.

After his monumental debut season, he was offered contracts by Manchester United and Tottenham, but turned both of them down to take another job. It’s the biggest job in English football: the England National Team. He was a success in what is also dubbed the “toughest job in football”, but felt a big sense of pride when managing his country.

Since his debut season in the Premier League, Morris’ Boreham have gone on to win the Premier League and Champions League, and Morris has become a true legend in the eyes of everyone in the football world.

True Legends Never Die

Every football fan has a great memory, whether this is of a great goal, a trophy win, a player, or a manager. Every fan remembers the Champions League Final of '05, Aguero's Premier League winning goal of 2011-2012, the 2006 World Cup Final. These moments made football what it is. Every fan remembers the great players such as Diego Maradona, Pele, Zinedine Zidane, Kenny Dalglish, Eric Cantona. These players gave their fans hope, gave them dreams. Every fan remembers the great managers such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Bill Shankly, Brian Clough and Bob Paisley. These managers gave their fans inspiration. Out of all the amazing managers in football history, one stood out. His name was Joshua Morris.

Joshua Morris was a child-hood Leeds fan, even playing for their youth academy. Injuries ruined his career before it even started. He turned his head to management and earned his coaching badges at the age of just thirty-nine. He began his job-hunting in 2011 with eager anticipation. In the summer of 2012, Boreham Wood's manager resigned. Mr. Morris saw the opportunity and applied. His application was successful and he had a meeting with the board. They discussed what plans would be set if Morris would take the job. Both the board and Morris were happy with the deal and Morris signed a one-year deal. This was the start of a great era.

Joshua Morris was a huge fan of AC Milan's style of play during the Maldini era. He felt that this type of football would fit perfectly in to Boreham's football. He taught the Boreham players about passion, about fighting to win. He shared his dream with the players, he shared his focus. He inspired the players to produce magnificent performences, to prove to everybody else that Boreham can win. Boreham became a formidable side, a side to be feared by any team, a side to be compared to the Liverpool of the '80s, the invincible Arsenal of '04, to Barcelona of the late noughties.

Many years after setting off from the Blue Square South, Boreham Wood were Champions of Europe. They were the best team in Europe, the best team in the world. They produced many astonishing performances and proved that passion and belief can bring you anywhere. They proved that despite your reputation, you can win anything. This was one of the most memorable moments in football history across the globe. The players became heroes, Morris became a legend.

Joshua Morris was a Boreham Wood legend and a legendary manager. He did what was thought to be impossible and brought Boreham Wood from the depths of English football to the pinnacle of the world. There have been many stories written about Josua Morris. He has inspired many fans and many managers. His ethic was one to marvel. His passion was one to inspire. There is a saying amongst AC Milan fans, I believe it belongs to Joshua Morris. TRUE LEGENDS NEVER DIE
