After an amazing season we are going into 2018/2019 in a different way. This time we don't have certain goal for the season because it's down to luck and performances.


The friendlies were OK and I'm not going to talk about them much as they are just friendlies.
We started the season with a Europa League qualifiers round vs Gomel. We got past them easily with 2-0 at home and 1-1 away.
Then we started the Premier League with only a 1-1 draw with Stoke but a 2-0 away win over Aston Villa.
Back to the Europa League, we had Skonto in the playoffs round and we totally nailed them with 5-0 away and 2-2 at home. The 5-0 match really cheered me as van Persie, Niang and Jovetic scored.

I also had my debut match as England's manager against Belgium.
We won 2-0 easily and I had a fantastic start to my international career.

After going past the playoff round we got to the Europa League's group stage. In the draw we were selected to play in Group F that included:





Valencia and Boreham Wood was called as favorites, although Feyenoord sure can surprise.

After a decent start we want to carry on and bring good results in. We want to finish the season with a Champions League place but it won't be easy at all.


Capital Cup: We played the 3rd round against Charlton and easily won 5-2. Then we got Reading and won again 2-0. Overall we are a major force in this tournament.

Europa League: Tough group, but 2 home wins (Valencia and Hajduk) and an away draw gave use the lead in our group.


Premier League: Except for an humiliating 4-0 loss at Old Trafford, we haven't lost in these two months. But we also drew too much. 4 draws, 3 wins and 1 loss so far. It's still early though and we have time to improve. League table:



With England I had 3 more games. A friendly against Italy, and two Euro qualifiers matches.

Against Italy we won a very hard 3-2. The Euro qualifiers were easy though and we won against Bosnia and Georgia at ease. Euro Qualifiers Group:
