It was indeed a hard month and an unexpected one. However I am starting to become more confident that we can change our fortunes and improve as the matches come our way. Thanks for reading.

The pre-season went very well but I would have liked more of a challenge so I may organise my own friendlies next season. The results will come in time, I just hope they come sooner rather than later. Thanks for reading.

Thank you to all the readers who have managed to push this story past the 20,000 read mark. This is a big achievement for me, especially as I think I have come a long way from the failed stories of the past. I am glad I was encouraged to continue with this story and I am glad to followers have not deserted me during the break, which ended up being just two days off to be honest.

I hope you continue to enjoy this story as there will be plenty more to come on my journey to get Liverpool FC back to the past.

I have a suspicion that at least 19,999 of those visits are me just trying to make the story look popular ;)

Deadline Transfer

We may only be a few games into the brand new season, but with expectation being at an all time high I have already started to worry if we will be able to match last season’s achievements. My honest opinion is that we are going to find it extremely tough. The players that I currently have sometimes lack that creative spark which can instigate a chance out of nothing for either himself or a team mate. With Steven Gerrard winding down to the end of his career I feel that it is vital to bring in someone that will fit into Gerrard’s shoes; I do however think that this will be an impossible task. I need a young player, with a lot of ability and who wants to play for the club and will be able to put in 100% week in, week out.

CA: PA:
Transfer Fee: £28.5 million

Skeptics will look at this transfer fee and his potential ability and think that I have over paid big time for someone that definitely won’t fit into Steven Gerrard’s boots. I can simply say that I have full confidence in the young lad to come big when the club needs him and the club needs him now. I am confident that he will exceed his potential ability and become an integral part of Liverpool FC long after this season. He will be put straight into the starting lineup and I will be looking to him to grab this opportunity straight away.
Isco!! My favorite non Barca player in Spain! Hope he can fill Stevie's boots for ya!
Great signing mate, Isco is a incredible player and Im sure he'll be a legend at Liverpool. :D
Woah! Dat transfer fee! Didn't he have a 17.5 million clause? Anyways, it is a great signing because I have him and he always performs for me. Is this the replacement for the one and only Steven Gerrard?!
Isco is definitely being bought with the aim of him replacing Steven Gerrard who seems set to come into a coaching role at the end of the season with him already agreeing to do so. Thanks for reading.

Isco will hopefully come big as the season goes on. He has already made a great start with one goal and being part of build up play. He seems to be combining well with Cavani and Suarez which I was really hoping for. I hope his good form continues for a very long time. Thanks for reading.

I knew you would be the only one to say something about the transfer fee :P. Unfortunately I came for him a few seasons too late and his minimum fee release clause had been increased to what I ended up playing. Steven Gerrard will be retiring from club football at the end of the season I’m sure so I am confident I have managed to sign a player who will slot into the team as his replacement with no problems whatsoever. Thanks for reading as always Pauker.
