Thanks Jeremy :) really looking forward to the challenge.

Jamesg237:
An interesting choice you leaving Manchester United for Milan...I was looking forward to reading about you bringing United to their knees! Ah well. Good luck with Milan and it would be great to see you turn them back into a dominant force in Europe.

I couldn't have kept the story going with United, I was losing all interest.

Sonalexwild:
You just did a very good choice. It was really hard to support United.
Good luck at San Siro m8, I hope you will stay until the end of the season.

FORZA MILAN!!!

You're the only City fan who didn't try to make me leave lol

Milan Sign Three

AC Milan have confirmed the signings of three youngsters from overseas, with fans expecting great things once they join. The trio consists of Truls Ringstad, a goalkeeper from Norwegian club Rosenborg, Fabio Luiz, a young striker from Brazilian club Santos, and Nicolas Schmidt from Nueva Chicago in Argentina. All three are held in very high regard in their respective countries, and have been snapped up by Italian giants Milan.

Truls Ringstad, the goalkeeper, is the highest rated one in terms of ability, and expected to be the long-term successor to Cristian Abbiati, who is retiring at the end of the season. The 18-year-old emerged at Rosenborg last season, although is yet to make his debut for the team. He has, however, made two appearances for the Norway U21s, and most football fans in Norway are expecting him to be a future star. His move to Milan, for £750k, just typifies this belief. £750k is a steal for a player of Ringstad's potential. He will join on 1st July 2014, and will be on £2.2k p/w until the end of the 2016-17 season.

Fabio Luiz is a player Milan have been trailing since Matthaus arrived. It is rumoured he discovered him whilst manager of Manchester United, although after he applied for the Milan job, and as such waited to try and sign him for the Rossoneri. The 16-year-old emerged at Santos last year, much like Ringstad did in Norway, however is yet to make his debut for the Sao Paolo club. Amazingly, he did sign his first professional contract with the club just a few weeks ago. Fans around the world are tipping him to be a star, and whether all this expectation takes it's toll on Luiz. Critics are claiming that the fee Milan paid, £5.5m, was too much for a 16-year-old, but many are saying it just shows how much potential he has. The transfer will go through once Luiz is 18, so in July 2016. This gives him time to develop in his home country before venturing abroad. He will be £2.6k p/w until the summer of 2019 at the San Siro.

Nicolas Schmidt is undoubtedly the highest rated in terms of potential of the three. In Argentina they are tipping him as "Messi's successor", and it is clear why to many. He is playing for Nueva Chicago in the third tier of Argentine football, but is catching the eyes of some massive clubs, despite being only 17. The attacking midfielder has made 18 league appearances already this season, and scored 13 goals. He has also made 5 appearances for Argentina's under-20 side, and is tipped to be one of the best players in the world in a few years. He will join Milan in January 2015, once he reaches his 18th birthday, and will hope to continue his progress towards his massive potential in Italy. Schimdt will be on £750 p/w, and commands a fee of £6m.

The total money Milan have spent on these three players is £12.25m, which is a lot for players who aren't even 20 yet. Will the pressure get to Ringstad, Luiz, and Schmidt? We'll have to wait and see.
