loving the shirt, hope you do embarrass them critics too
I certify only four stars and above players as "good". Three stars and a half is "okay"
Screw the coach report, Auletta looks like a good youth! Give him 2-3 games next season, 4-5 next and so on until he is a decent squad player
The End Of The Line
Picture the scene. It's 3 in the morning, on a quiet road on the outskirts of Milan. It's been pouring down with rain for hours, filling the potholes in the road with rainwater. There's only one man driving down this treacherous road at this time of night. AC Milan boss Lothar Matthaus, on his way back from celebrating another win for his team. He was tired, yet happy with his team's performance. He tried to concentrate on the road ahead, and the rain pounding his windscreen. He could feel the car bouncing from pothole to pothole. He just had to grit his teeth and push through. He revved up the car's engine, which was a decision he would soon come to regret.
He started to lose control of the car, as it bounced more violently with each coming pothole. Suddenly, he drove into one so deep that once his wheel emerged, he cracked his head against the roof of the car, putting him in a daze, but he drove on. He turned a corner and mounted a bridge over one of Milan's rivers. Without warning, a sharp pain erupted in the back of Matthaus' skull, causing him to veer off of the road on the bridge towards the edge and the water below it. The sudden change in direction caused his head to slam against the car window, knocking him unconscious, but with his foot still on the accelerator pedal. He smashed into the fence separating the water from the road, causing him to fly out of the windscreen of his Ferrari and onto the road, precariously close to the edge.
Luckily, minutes later, a woman drove by and spotted Matthaus lying by the side of the road. She rushed over to check if he was okay. She called an ambulance, and then waited for a long tense minutes, not know what was wrong with the German, or how to help him. Suddenly, she heard the sound of a siren pierce the cold, night air. She looked round and saw the ambulance rushing towards her. As soon as it arrived, two paramedics leapt out and ran to Matthaus. They pulled out a set of defibrillators, and started jolting Matthaus' chest, trying to get him to wake up. They tried as they might, but with no luck.
"Antonio, I think we're going to have to call it. There's nothing we can do"
"Maybe you're right. It's a shame to see him go. Time of death: 3.16 A.M."
And so ends a glittering life for Matthaus. A long playing career for some of the top clubs in the world. An international career with Germany. Then once he retired, a long and successful managerial career, particularly with Sporting Lisbon. However, he also ventured into international management, coaching sides such as Bulgaria.
Today the world will be in mourning. But tomorrow, a new chapter in the world of football begins.
End of one of the best stories I've read, lovely ending though, wonder who gave you the idea
Really wonderful stuff, I hope the next one's even better

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
This story has been just great all the way and it's just breath taking. Even if you read this update, it really reflects on how the story was. Good with detail to name it. Thanks to Blue, I've decided to make my own story. Even though the last few weeks Blue has struggled to mantain it, he showed great attitude towards his readers and held on it until today at 9:05 P.M. (South American hours) This perhaps might have surpassed the likes of KuPS or Boreham Wood. A different story from the regulars, Blue has posted over 43 pages of greatness, no matter what. I will miss reading this story and its amazing updates.

What can you say about a story like this? All I can say is a simple two-worded phrase:
SIMPLY AMAZING!
Guys, guys, who said anything about last update? I think you'll find the last line says a new chapter in the world of football begins. Nothing about last of anything
I can't wait to see what the new chapter is! Even if you decide to end It, ( I hope you don't!) It would still rank among the greatest FM Stories of all time, 43 pages of incredible writing! But I'm glad there will be a new chapter, because I think that you will easily achieve the goal of having the most replied topic of all time! Good Luck!
A New Chapter - Part 1
It's just past 9 A.M. on a warm morning in Italy, but instead of the normal scenes you'd expect in such a situation, the country, and indeed the world, is in mourning. News has just broken that Lothar Matthaus, the AC Milan boss, has been involved in a car crash on the outskirts of Milan, and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was one of the world's greatest players, and one of the most successful managers of recent times. He touched fans around the world, and will be missed even by the ones he didn't.
At the Milan Central Mortuary...
Along both side walls of the mortuary were freezers banked together, used to store bodies of the deceased. In one of these, the body of Lothar Matthaus was lying, being preserved ready to be transported back to Germany for his funeral. Suddenly, there was a groan from his freezer. Was life stirring inside?
