Season Five: October Update

Hey guys, I've another update to bring to you! After our very impressive form last month, we were in a very good position to battle for promotion. This month would be a crucial one if we were to put pressure on the teams above us.

Results

This month's results were very identical to our results from last month, simply fantastic! Five wins and two draws in seven games, something to be very proud of. We started off with Euan Smith earning us three points away to Mansfield with a spectacular hat-trick. We then had an unfortunate draw against Barnet before we brushed Dag & Red and Exeter side with ease. Another draw, this time against Shrewsbury, broke up our winning streak as we then beat Morecambe away and we beat League One side Carlisle in the FA Cup. That was our best result of the month as Carlisle were heavily favoured! I was runners-up in the Manager of the Month award, also.

Player of the Month

Zac Fagan is my player of the month for October. Ever since signing on a free transfer, he has been phenomenal for us. He is a brick wall in defence and he is also very effective in the air from set-pieces, proving that by scoring twice this month. He has a lot of potential and he is showing glimpses of that right now. He was deservedly awarded the NPower League Two Player of the Month award for October, and hopefully that won't be the last time that he wins it!

NPower League Two

We have moved up another place and we now sit in second, just one point behind league leaders Rotherham. We are by far the most lethal team in front of goal, with 37 goals in 18 games. Our defensive record is also slowly improving, and hopefully it will be one of the best by the end of the season. In terms of promotion, we have a five point safety net in the automatic promotion spots, and a nine point safety net in the play-off spots. Hopefully we can expand these gaps!

November Fixtures

We have six games to play next month, with the most challenging of them being the away fixture to Crewe in the FA Cup. If we can force a replay, I fancy us to win. Hopefully we can continue our league form too, as that is very impressive. (Unbeaten in sixteen league games)
Euan smith scored some vital goals for you last month, FA Cup 2nd Round, Possible small cup run on the cards? good luck in both the league and cup Justice :D

Same here Sed, this, Northwood's CD Costanicia story and TrueFootballManager FM11 with Boston have inspired me to do one, so when I finish my current story I will be doing an LLM story!
