So we might have been expected to get automatic promotion, but those hopes were tossed out the window early on, and to be honest, I totally expected Kamara to come in and steady the ship for a mid-table finish, but he did an amazing job and I am chuffed for him, and for the team, and for the fans. Southampton secured promotion to the Premier League after a 1-0 win over Tranmere in the play-off final. Rickie Lambert secured them the victory with a powerful shot moments after the play restarted, on 46 minutes. The Saints star was understandably happy with his performance.
