Wolves vs Southampton - Play-off semi-finals first leg
The Bulid-Up: Geoff Shreeves
Geoff Shreeves: Hello, this is Geoff Shreeves, I'm the touchline reporter here today for the npower Championship Semi-Final, between Southampton and Wolves at St. Mary's Stadium. I've been running round here for a while, and I have managed to track down nobody else than Chris Kamara.

Chris Kamara: Hello Geoff, it's a pleasure to be here.
GS: Yes, I agree, it is a pleasure for me too, right, err, so Chris, will you be looking to this game or the second leg as the more important match?
CK: To be honest, they are both going to be difficult, and I don't think either will be more important. To be honest, I think that kind of mindset kills you.
GS: OK, I agree with you there, er, will you be starting Rodriguez or Lambert tonight?
CK: Well, I won't tell you my whole starting line up, but I have made a few changes for tonight and yes, Rodriguez will start alongside Lambert, but there has been tactical changes too.
GS: Thank you Chris, that should be enough for me.
GS: OK, lets see if we can find someone else.. er, I think...over there is Henning Berg, Wolves' manager, lets talk to him.

GS: Hello! Henning!
Henning Berg: Hello there.
GS: So, what do you expect from today? A win?
HB: I hope so. Yes.
GS: Do you feel that you have an advantage, with the second leg at Molineux?
HB: Yes, if it goes into extra time we will have home advantage, yes.
GS: So, what game will be more important to you?
HB: The second leg, without a doubt, we have an advantage.
GS: That's enough for me, cheers.
Introduction
Sam Matterface: Hello, this is the npower Championship Play-Offs we have for you, and I am here with Jim Proudfoot, here to watch to great side fight for promotion.
Jim Proudfoot: Thank you Sam, yes, this is the Play-Off Semi Finals, which, in case you don't remember, has two legs, and the winner on aggregate will go through to the final, against Stoke or Tranmere, who have drawn 0-0, but for now, the focus is on Wolves and Southampton. Lets have a look at the line ups.
Southampton: Gazzaniga, Cummings, Yoshida, Shotton, Shaw, Spearing, Kasami, Mackie, Lambert, Lallana, Rodriguez.
Wolves: Hennessey, Stearman, Batth, Berra, Ward, Hamill, Doumbia, Henry, Edwards, Commons, Sigardsson.
SM: An interesting decision from Kamara to pick both Lambert and Rodriguez, we've been told that Lambert will be sitting behind Rodriguez, and also a big decision from Berg, to pick Sigardsson for Wolves. Both sides look to be playing with an attacking style but will it backfire for one of them? Lets find out.
The Match
0' JP: We are underway here. Lets see what this game has in store.
4' SM: Commons on the ball for Wolves, in his own corner. Oooh, that is a horrendous pass, straight to Lambert, Lambert in the box...RODRIGUEZ HEADS IT AT GOAL! NO! Saved by Hennessey but KASAMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII! Patjim Kasami pounces on the rebound, it is 1-0!
JP: Poor, poor, defending by Wolves, and Kris Commons, hang your head in shame. What were you thinking? He passed it to Lambert and stood there, playing Rodriguez onside! Rodriguez should have scored, but Kasami followed up well. One goal to nil.
21' SM: Commons. Passes to Doyle, Doyle is closed down though, he passes back to Commons. Wolves not really creating any-oh! Sigardsson is through, played in by Commons and SIGARDSSON! HE'S EQUALISED! HAS HE? I can't tell! Was he offside? The linesman... has he put his flag up? Yes, he has, and it is still 1-0.
JP: Unlucky for Sigardsson, so unlucky, but he has that extra ward of pace over Yoshida, he really should have timed his run much better, he was offside by a mile.
29' JP: Southampton on the counter, good passing move. Lambert, Shaw, Lallana, beats one, beats two, cuts inside and SHOOOOOTS! Great Save!
SM: Long range shot from Lallana, I felt he had better options but he fired it at goal and he came close there, forced a save from Hennessey.
45' SM: Half time at St. Mary's and it is 1-0 to Southampton, but could they be ahead Jim?
JP: Certainly, they have had possession and chances, and although Wolves had a goal ruled out, it's been their only real chance. I think Southampton won't be able to hold on though, they know that the pressure is all on them.
SM: I think Southampton will pull ahead, to be honest, I think they have deserved to have more and they can get it in the 2nd half in my opinion, we will find out, next.
49' SM: Wolves have been sloppy today, they've given it away again, this time it's Rodriguez on the ball, now Kasami, Lambert, lays it off to RODRIGUEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! 2-0! IT IS 2-0! JAY RODRIGUEZ, AND HE HAS PUT SOUTHAMPTON FURTHER AHEAD!
JP: Good finish, from outside the box too, just places it into the corner, wonderful goal. No way back now, for Wolves.
59' SM: Gazaniga rolls it to Shaw, Shaw to Lallana. Spearing now, not many options for him, ooh, but there is a long ball and Lambert is on the ball, played in the air, to Mackie, Mackie with the header and RODRIGUEZ WITH THE FINISH! RODRIGUEZ, IT IS HIS SECOND!
JP: That has put the game to bed, surely, what a goal, great team play and a good finish, end of the road for Wolves now.
90' JP: Shaw. In the dying seconds, plays it back to Gazanigga, gives it back to Shaw. He's found Lallana, but manager Chris Kamara is pointing at his watch and IT'S OVER! 3-0! What a fantastic result for Southampton, effectively into the final! WOW!
SM: Great game, fantastic performance by The Saints, they deserve to go back up, and while it remains to be seen whether Stoke or Tranmere will be in the final, we know that Southampton will be there. See you next time., on ITV's coverage of the npower Championship. Thank you, and goodbye.
