I most certainly will! (I won't, but at least I'll try)

Kean signs on deadline day

Southampton have agreed a deal to sign Blackburn's goalkeeper Jake Kean for a reported figue of £4m. Southampton's former keeper Pablo Gazzaniga let in 37 goals in 34 appearances last year in the npower Championship after costing the club £2.7m from Gillingham, but Gazzaniga has insisted he will fight for his place in the Southampton line-up."I played week in week out under Kamara last year and I will play week in week out under Kamara this year. I want to keep my place and I will work hard to do so, I don't care how much we spent on the new goalkeeper, he will not replace me."
Sounds like a decent buy their mate!
My assistant doesn't rate him, but he;s better than Gazzaniga :)

'Nothing to worry about' says Lallana

Although he is currently out with an injury, Southampton captain Adam Lallana believes there will be no problems in their fight for survival. He also thinks that they can beat Chelsea in the Capital One Cup, having beaten them two seasons ago in the League.

"We have a strong squad here at Southampton, and we keep building, and all of us are getting better. You don't see this at Burnley, or Wigan, or the other teams fighting to stay up. We have a stronger squad than most of the teams in the division, so I'm confident of our survival. There is nothing to worry about."

When asked by a reporter how Saints could do against Chelsea in their upcoming cup match, Lallana responded with this:

"We can win, no doubt. They are, of course, one of the biggest teams in the world these days, but they are not invincible. We are above them in the table, and we are on superb form, beating Everton 3-2 and demolishing Sunderland, 5-2. I'm not going to say we will demolish them too, but it's actually pretty likely. I want us to go out there, and attack. We shouldn't be worried."

Nice little update, short and sweet. Nothing like a bit of encouragement from the captain. Keep it up Louis.

After yet another win in the Premier League, relegation favourites Southampton have unbelievably gone top of the league. Jay Rodriguez, Maya Yoshida and Patjim Kasami were all on the score sheet as they beat West Brom 3-1, with Robert Snodgrass giving the home side the opener.

Southampton were only expected to be fighting to survive this year but they have made many great signings, and although they were knocked out of the Capital One Cup at an early stage by Chelsea, but they are on fire in the league, and have lost only once, to Arsenal. Manager Chris Kamara insists his side will not get carried away.

"We are top of the league, and I didn't expect that, but I don't think anyone did.We will not get carried away, it shouldn't affect our performances. If anything, being higher in the table should make us better because higher quality teams go in higher league positions. I have no worries".

Despite Kamara's optimism, pundits have suggested that they will fall away and that they may still have to fight for survival. However, although this may jus be a lucky break and a good run of form, nobody can doubt that Southampton have been nothing short of brilliant recently.
Great update once again. Congratulation on getting to the top, I know you can stay in the top places.

Good luck ;)
