Great job beating Spurs!
Just to say guys, I have a lot of updates ready, ending the season.

However, I am going on a short holiday tomorrow morning, and won't be back until late Monday. I won't be posting on this story, and my 2017 Experiment and Non-FM Story until then. I will have a lot of updates on Tuesday, so be ready.

I will still be checking out stories, and looking at this on my phone, so please comment on my story, and send me a private message if I'm needed. Thanks for the support guys, lots of love. ;)

Review:

It's been a tough month for the team. With alot of cup and european fixtures, fitness levels have dropped, and we lack depth in the squad anyway. The 3 points could help, and I wasn't expecting anything from the Moscow game, resting my whole squad in the wake of the upcoming Europa League final. However, the lead we had in the league has disappeared all of a sudden, and with one game left, a win is vital for the squad. I would say we are still favourites though.

Current League Table:

G'warn Rubin!
Surely got the league in the bag :P

AK - Andrei Kanchelskis
RS - Roman Sharonov (Captain)
ROS - Rest of Squad

AK - Come on boys. We've done well to get this far. But this is the game that matters. This is the game you need to win. Lyon are a good side, but we are a great side. We have better players, better staff, better kits. But most importantly, we are a team. We are together. We are in this together.

RS - You're right boss. This year we've changed as a team. We have come together and played better, better than we've ever done before. We need a win. A win to show we are a force to be reckoned with, a win to show we mean business.

ROS - Yeah! KAZAN! KAZAN! KAZAN!

AK - Now, get out there, work your bollocks of and bring the trophy home, where it belongs. No one deserves this more than you, so go out and bloody enjoy yourself. KAZAN! KAZAN! KAZAN!

RS - No, boss, you deserve it as much as we do. You've got us here too. Without you, we'd have been out in the group stage. This win, which we are going to get, is not just for us, and for Rubin Kazan, but for Andrei.

ROS - Yeah! ANDREI! ANDREI! ANDREI!

AK - Brilliant boys, now get out there and show the French what Rubin are really like. COME ON!

Rubin Kazan v Lyon - Europa League Final - 15.5.2013

This is it! Amsterdam ArenA is the venue for this massive game, between two outstanding clubs. Rubin Kazan from Russia will face French side Lyon in the Europa League Final. Lyon have become favourites for many bookies across Europe, but many know that Rubin Kazan are a force that can bring down any team when in good form.

Rubin Kazan will be in high spirit, due to the recent success in the league, almost clinching the title, while still having the potential of a Russian Cup win, to add to the already won Russian Super Cup. Lyon are only able to manage a 3rd place finish, but will now be able to go all out in this game in order to gain a trophy this year.

The Line-Ups

Kazan (4-1-2-1-2): Arlauskis, Cadu, Marcano, Navas, Ansaldi, M'Vila, Eremenko, Ryazantsev, Tore, Rondon, Dyadyun

Lyon (4-4-2): Vercoutre, Umtiti, Kone, Bisevac, Reveillere, Malbranque, Gonalons, Mvuemba, Briand, Lopez, Gomis

Commentary

1 min: Rubin Kazan kick off here in Amsterdam.

HT: The ref blows the whistle for half-time, with the score at 0-0. No subs to be made by the manager, in this fairly even game so far. Surely some goals to come though?

71 min: Eremenko plays the ball in, Umtiti can't reach it, and TORE!!! Gokhan Tore puts Kazan in front with just 20 minutes to play. Can they hold on though?

86 min: The last few minutes to play, and Kazan look in control. But Briand is going on his own. A brilliant counter attack, and, and GOAL! Jimmy Briand saves Lyon with a brilliant solo goal. The Rubin fans can't believe what's happened, and neither can the Lyon fans. The players are going wild!

FT: The ref ends the 90 minutes of normal time with the score still level, meaning another 30 minutes of fabulous football for us to enjoy.

104 min: Lyon have a corner now, with Briand putting it in the box. HEADER! Bakary Kone connects perfectly with the ball to put it in the back of the net! Kazan have really thrown this away!

119 min: The referee indicates one minute of injury time, but wait, Rondon has the ball. Ansaldi makes the overlap, drills it in. GOAL! Dyadyun scores while the Rubin fans try to run onto the pitch. Vladimir Dyadyun joins the fans in celebration of this late minute goal! The Lyon players run to the ref claiming offside, but he's having none of it. 2-2, and penalties is on the wall.

FT ET: After 120 minutes of solid football, penalties will decide the winner of the game today.

Pen 1: Lopez steps up to take the first penalty for Lyon. LISANDRO LOPEZ SCORES! 1-0

Pen 2: Cadu up next for Rubin Kazan. BACK OF THE NET! 1-1

Pen 3: Gourcouff steadies himself for the penalty. ARLUASKIS SAVES IT! 1-1

Pen 4: Ansaldi with the next kick. KNOCKED WIDE BY THE KEEPER! 1-1

Pen 5: Samuel Umtiti is the next taker for Lyon. SAMUEL UMTITI SCORES! 2-1

Pen 6: Rondon places the ball down carefully. SALOMON RONDON SCORES! 2-2

Pen 7: Grenier steps up confidentaly. ARLUASKIS SAVES AGAIN! 2-2

Pen 8: Roman Eremenko with the next chance. EREMENKO SCORES! 3-2

Pen 9: Bakary Kone places the ball down quickly. BACK OF THE NET! 3-3

Pen 10: Rubin will win if M'Vila scores this. STRAIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE! 4-3

FT: RUBIN KAZAN HAVE WON THE EUROPA LEAGUE!! THE CROWD ERUPTS WITH CHEERS, AND RED AND GREEN IS SEEN ALL AROUND! THE PLAYERS AND FANS WILL SAVOUR THIS MOMENT FOR YEARS TO COME! Full time from the Amsterdam ArenA: Rubin Kazan 2 Lyon 2 (Rubin Kazan win 4-3 on penalties!)

Manager Comments

This is one of the best feelings in the world. Beating a side such as Lyon in the way we did, and winning the trophy the way we did. To think this all started with a trip to Leverkusen many months is phenomenal. The team have done me proud, this is a day I will never forget. We have even more chance for success coming up, and I couldn't think of a team I'd rather manage at this time.
Поздравляю!
You must have been nervous in the penalty shootout!

Congrats on winningthe Europa League!
Esbech: Thank you. It was a brilliant moment, and I hope there is more success to come in the near future with the team. :)

LJO: It's the most nervous I've ever been in a match! However, I hit my head from excitement when Dyadyun scored in the 119th minute, so didn't have much time to see the actual shootout. ;)
