Season Two: August
I nervously counted down the days until our first fixtures in the second division, the Segunda Divisão. First up and we hosted SC Covilha, a team never threatening the title race, but never threatened by relegation, they were a team of mid table mediocrity.
SC Covilha
Next was Benfica's B team. They would be a tough challenge depending on how many players from the first team were playing. We had to look out for players like Eduardo Salvio and Djaniny, who could cause trouble.
SL Benfica B
Next was FC Penafiel, who weren't to be taken lightly. Tended to finish higher up in the table, they were never real title contenders, but they did push the real contenders. We'd have to be very good to top them off.
FC Penafiel
Last but certaintly not least, was FC Arouca. Regularly challenging for promotion, these guys nearly always get off to a great start in the league, we'd again have to be brilliant to top these guys off.
FC Arouca
These were definately going to be some tough fixtures, and we wanted to get some points on the board right away, which would be vital if we were going to stay in the league. We would be without João Paulo Pinto and Joaquim Monteiro for the first two games, as they were away on international duty.
We worked harder than ever in training and I let the players know what was at stake. They would have to fight for every point to stay up, but I had faith in them, and I knew that they could get the job done and we could have some success. So, how did the fixtures go?
A disappointing month. We got a vital win on the opening day versus SC Covilha but we struggled in the remaining matches. We went ahead against SLB B, but we were overrun by Eduardo Salvio, who pulled the strings. The Penafiel result was hard to take, but we were unlucky against Arouca, who went unbeaten throughout the month and topped the table.
Hopefully, we could get some better results and kick on in September. It would be vital to get some wins and draws to stay clear of the relegation zone, because I was not ready to fight relegation for 42 weeks.
Ouch, tough losses there, but if SLB B have Salvio then they must be impressive Onwards and upwards!

Yeah I know. Benfica B' have been the toughest, all of the others have been crap, Braga B are last in game. Stay tuned for more thanks for reading
Season Two: September
This month was a long one, with no less than six Segunda Divisão games and one cup game. After last month's torrid start, we looked a different team, winning four out of the six games that came our way.
We started the month against Pampilhosa, who were promoted alongside us from the Terceira Divisão, and we came away with a nervy 3-2 win. Next up was CD Feirense, who are competing for promotion. You could see the differences in the side as they crushed us 3-0. Then we hosted 4th division Santiago in the first round of the cup. We destroyed them 6-1 and will now face Olhanense in the next round. We continued our fine form, wiping the floor versus CD Aves, as Antonio Alves helped us to another 6-1 win. I was nervous coming up against one of the most improved teams in the Portuguese game União Madeira. But I was proven wrong as we walked over them, scoring 5 goals and conceding a mere one. After that we played cellar dwellars Braga B and had no trouble unlocking their weak defence, beating the keeper on three occasions. Lastly for the month was Atletico CP, who we unluckily lost 2-1 to.
We have made a remarkable improvment position wise, rising into the top half of the league and we aren't a far cry for promotion. We defied odds this month, and Antonio Alves found it harder to miss than to score this month. Hopefully, it is a sign of things to come and we can continue to rise up the ranks.
Very solid month, although the two losses were sadly to be expected. 2 6-1's in a row!
