Summer 2021: Transfer Round-up

So you guys know about the senior transfers and the friendlies, it is time for me to do a round-up of all the transfers that we made over the summer. I will do a very simple version of just showing you all the transfers made and showing you screenshots of each player, as I am very low on time right now. So without further delay, let's begin!

Ten players were sold or released, giving us a total of £310K. I didn't expect much more as these players were all well in to their thirties or just completely useless. We signed eighteen players in total, for a combined fee of £46.325M. However, only eight of these eighteen players went in to the senior team. The other ten were bought for the youth team. I will list the squad for which each player was signed.

Senior Squad:
  • Simon Moore
  • Dominic Karim
  • Jamie Walker
  • George Gilhaney
  • Pejo Susnic
  • Edward D'Auria
  • Alfredo Peña
  • Shane Long

  • U-18 Squad
  • Mehmet Fırat
  • Massimiliano Manzella
  • Mauricio González
  • Gaëtan Faedda
  • Mikel Blasco
  • Édgar Gómez
  • Javier Esnal
  • Bert de Nooijer
  • Frederic Morin
  • Jonas

  • Senior Squad Signings

All in all, I am delighted with my signings for the senior team. I maybe could have brought in a more developed midfielder than Peña but I'm sure that he will develop quickly with first team football. The three best signings have to be Edward D'Auria, George Gilhaney and Pejo Susnic.

    U-18 Squad Signings

I am delighted with the players I have brought in to my youth team. We got some real stars among the prospects too. The best of the youngsters are Massimiliano Manzella, Édgar Gómez and Javier Esnal. These guys will be big stars when they develop.

I know this was very brief, but I do have a lot of time constraints on me right now. I wish I could elaborate further on each signing but this time I cannot. Next up are squad reports, and a lot more. I hope you all are as excited by these transfers as I am! :)
46.5m!?!?! That's a lot of money, I doubt the club was even worth 1% of that at the start! :P

Earned a lot of money last season through sponsorship, prize money, tv money and we fill out our stadium practically every game too. Bound to give us some spending money :P

GM: "I have the staff reports done in advance Paul, so it is just the players that needs doing."

GM: "I think us, the coaching staff, are good coaches. We are still very young and have a lot to learn. I'd say if you stick with us, we will become one of the best coaching teams around."

PH: "I'm glad to hear that you are so determined. Yeah. you are right about that. Our squad and the staff are both very young and will develop in to something extraordinary. I think we should all take a break and then come back to discuss the reserves squad and the under eighteens squad."

    Paul Hewson: We Will Improve

Paul Hewson: "Last season was our best season yet. There is nothing better than winning a major cup competition and doing as well as we did in the league too. We did everything the right way, and we want to continue on in the same fashion. The fans helped the team enormously last season, our fans are the best fans in the world!

I think that if you look at how Vauxhall Motors has developed over the summer, we have made some frightening progress. Our stadium is now a fantastic place, and our facilities are quickly improving. We also have a very good scouting network set up now and another affiliation in Finland this time. This is all down to the great work done by James Talbut and Kevin Johnson, they have been fantastic for the club.

As for the team, the sky is the limit. If we keep working hard in training and in matches, we will improve and improve and improve. We are a European club now, which is a fantastic achievement, and I aim to build on that. The players are developing well every day, and they are happy to play at Vauxhall. Give us some time and we can accomplish anything. This season will be a fantastic season for us, I just know it."

    Very Important Announcement

Hey guys, I've finished with the whole "Development Saga" and "Summer 2021" updates so now I will be moving on to what you have all been waiting for, some actual progress of the game itself. Due to limited time, I will only be doing four updates per season. I will now briefly describe what each one will entail:

  • Pre-Season: I will post friendlies played, transfers made and any other events that has happened at the club, such as facility upgrades, new stadium under construction, etc.

  • First Half: I will then post results and tables of each competition played and briefly discuss about player performances and club business, etc. The first half will run from August until December.

  • January Transfer Window: If, and only if, I make any transfers in January, I will post an update on them. I may also make posts on World Player of the Year awards, etc. There will be seasons without these updates, however.

  • Second Half: Same as the first half update, I will post results and tables of each competition and discuss player performances and club business, etc. This will run from January to May.

  • I will half the first update up tomorrow and I will be continuing on slowly but surely. I really would like to express my appreciation to every reader, as they have given me some great motivation to keep going when times were tough. I know that I can keep marching on and give you all what you want :)
Damn! Great updates mate, I loved it. I wouldnupgrade my stadium!
Carrick as attacking coach :P nice updates can't wait for more :)
