Thank you very much. I am looking forward to the challenge of FC Barcelona and I am confident we can do well; it just depends what kind of mood Messi is in.

Rafinha will definitely get the chance next season especially I am thinking that Gerrard may call it a day on his Anfield career. I am disappointed he isn’t getting much first team action at Notts County but he is still playing which is the most important thing. Thanks for reading Pauker.

I am hoping for revenge but I don’t think we can go into that game with that as our mind set or else it will back fire. I am going to set them out to have a go and all I can hope for is that they put in 100% and try and grab a late goal. Thanks for reading my fellow Red.

You're doing great mate.
Good luck for the Barcelona games. You will have your rematch :)

Champions League Quarter Final

This result has surely shown the footballing world how far we have come in just over a season. The team, every single one of them, performed admirably and we fully deserved both wins to help us progress to the next stage of the competition. We may have not dominated possession (not many teams do against FC Barcelona) but we did convert the chances that we created. This is what matters end of the day. Our defence performed to the highest standard which stopped the lethal FC Barcelona front line of Falcao and Messi who were kept quiet throughout both the legs. Lucas Leiva has come so far in his career at Anfield and his two performances against FC Barcelona showed that he is an extremely important team member and will continue to be for a very long time.

I have to single out Raheem Sterling for his sublime performances in both legs which resulted in him grabbing two goals. His outstanding performance on the right wing gave our team the edge as their defenders just could not cope with his pace and his balance. His combination play with Suarez helped prove that they are both integral to our success. I cannot wait for the next leg of this competition as I have full confidence in the squad to go the whole way.

There is nothing else I can say about this month apart from it will go down in the history of Liverpool FC. Despite there still being four games left of the season, as a result of Arsenal drawing their match, Liverpool Football Club have been crowned Champions of England for the third season in a row. This is a magnificent achievement that everyone at the club can be proud of as everyone has contributed in their own way. It is really hard to put into words how much I wish this achievement would occur in the real world of football but I don’t see that coming anytime soon. However, to say I have done it, even if it’s on “just a game” I am still proud of what I have achieved. The next step which I believe will firmly get this club Back to the Past is to go on and win the Champions League. We can do it! You’ll Never Walk Alone!

Champions League Semi Final

What a great feeling. On the back of winning the Barclays Premier League we have booked ourselves a place in the final of the Champions League. The match is going to be an all English team affair with the final place going to either Arsenal or Chelsea with Arsenal having four goals to their advantage after winning the first leg 4-0. I cannot wait for the final stages of the season with an FA Cup final as well. Are we really going to be able to go the whole season only losing 1 game and win every competition we have taken part in?

Trip to Wembley

This is the third visit we have had to Wembley this season and our form is currently 2 wins out of 2 matches played. It is going to be an amazing achievement for us to win all the competitive finals; meaning we will walk away with every trophy that have competed for. The stadium is slowly but surely becoming a second home and that is exactly what it should be for a team as big as Liverpool FC. The team should be competing at the highest level in every major competition and I am proud to say I have got the club back to the yester year when that use to happen.

The most pleasing aspect of this month is the fact that we have progressed into the final of the Champions League and added the FA Cup to the club’s already prestigious trophy cabinet. It would have been nice to end the season with wins against West Ham United and Blackburn Rovers however a young team was played in both games with the Champions League final looming. Shelvey put in some great performances and he is a future captain of Liverpool FC without doubt. I do plan on investing some of the club’s financial gain from the competition wins to offering improved contracts to the majority of the team. I think it is important that as a club, we tie down this team to long term contracts as soon as possible.

Trip to Instanbul

What an amazing place for the club to return to. The last time the Reds won the Champions League it was in the enthralling, nerve-wracking, tense Champions League final for many years. For the club, led by Steven Gerrard, to come back from 3 nil down to an unbelievable AC Milan side, it is an achievement that has gone down in club folklore. Is it fate? Is it fate that we are now in a final, in the same city as the previous trophy win, and is our name already on the cup?

Match Preview

I couldn’t feel sorrier for Steven Gerrard. During the FA Cup final he injured his calf muscle which ruled him out for the remainder of the season and in conjunction with that it ruled him out of the Champions League final. Yes the team has shown we can perform on the pitch without him but it is a bitter blow to him and the team.

Antoine Griezmann has been a sensational player this season and he has a great career ahead of him. We will unfortunately miss his pace on the wing as he is suspended for the game; he will regret picking up the fifth yellow card in one of the earlier rounds.

A comfort for us to see that Jack Wilshere is not like to be taking part in the final along with Wojciech Szczesny having been ruled out for definite.

Match Review

This final will not go down in history for what it should be which was two great passing sides going head to head with players who create pieces of pure inspiration. Instead it is going to be the tale of the cards. Yellow cards and the two reds cards dominated this game from start to finish and it was a true shame to witness. The two teams more obsessed with kicking each other instead of the ball which resulted in a lack of goal mouth action.

Don’t get me wrong, I am so so happy with the outcome of the match, I am just disappointed in the way it was achieved. It wasn’t a repeat of 2005 but it will go down in history of the club as another season where Liverpool FC have dominated European football. YNWA!
Is there another Champions League coming back home to Anfield? Could it?! Anyways, congrats on the F.A. Cup glory (once again) and I wish you bring that trophy back to where it belongs. You CAN and WILL end the season on a high with the CL trophy back at Anfield! YNWA!!!
Awesome winning of the Champions League mate.
Congratulations, great job. :D

Gallagher’s Red Future

My aim was simple. Get Liverpool FC back to the past, yester day, the days of glory. I firmly believe that in the three seasons that I have been in charge of the club I have been successful in doing this. The trophy cabinet is now awash with trophies including the Barclays Premier League trophy and Champions League trophy. I explained at the beginning of this journey that it was going to be a difficult task; in my opinion, in real life, it is one of the most difficult jobs a manager could have due to the high expectations. Those expectations were put on my shoulders, yes in the game, but the pressure was real. I think I exceeded those expectations and showed that it can be achieved one day, hopefully one day not too far into the future.

People may ask me how I actually achieved this success, for example, what tactics did you use? How did Sterling play for you? However, I don’t think I will be able to explain how it was achieved aside from it involved a lot of hard work and a lot of hours. I think anyone can achieve their goals if the time and effort is put in.

A final note in this section is that Liverpool FC is officially Back to the Past.

The Future

In-Game

I am not too sure what the future holds in-game but I do intend on leaving this section on a simple cliff hanger.

Real World

I do intend on using this section to share that I am going to take a shortbreak from story writing and instead get back to the nitty gritty of playing Football Manager. In my opinion it is one of the most addictive games out there and I think a lot of us here have proved that through our stories. During this break I plan on venturing into leagues I have never experienced and manage clubs who I have never even considered being in charge of and just finding out more about the game and players around the world. I do hope to share this new journey with you sometime but for now I would like to thank

Liverbird, Glenn T, FMRookie, TheChosenOne, FMBeast, Sonalexwild, Sammmm, Or. Dabool, MarkKolatowicz, PaukerJ, Levz, FM King, Joethequin, Aggerdoo, Slogh, Walawe, OlympiakosFC, Adonis_p, Nivo 11, The Madrista, Nathaniel_97, DembaWalker342, LeedsUnitedForLife and Murtagh

for commenting on the story over the seasons and thank you to the rest of you who have read it.
Have fun exploring, its been a fun ride. Allthough that cliffhanger! Do not take over Man U, unless it is to se how far down in the divisions you can get them without beeing sacked :D

Thanks for the read and just keep on enjoying the game. Its a lot of effort making a thread like this and again we all thank you for it!

I thought the cliff hanger may cause some contraversy. I could do so much with £83 million transfer budget and they already have Neymar.

I do hope you have enjoyed reading this as much as I have enjoyed writing it. The break won't be too long as I've already got some teams in mind that I'm going to check out.
its been a pleasure for me to have followed this story, the writing has always been great and well you just ended on a great cliffhanger :D

ive been doing the same, got a variety of saves in different leagues and im really enjoying it..dont be away from this for too long though as ill miss checking for updates lol
