Hello and welcome to the big night. The second biggest game in Football. The Champions League final.
Win this and you are the elite. Lars Ricken today has the opportunity to become part of the exclusive list of people who have won this competition as a player and a manager. Atletico Madrid are looking for their first Champions League crown ever. Dortmund however are the favourites. Lets take a look at how they got to the final. Dortmund topped the group beating AC Milan and Arsenal. In the first knockout round they narrowly beat Benfica. They drew Bayern Munich in the next round and destroyed them 6-1 at the Allianz arena.
That was an amazing game.Bayern could not come back from that and they didn’t. The semi’s saw them play Juventus. It was a poor tie with Dortmund winning it 1-0 on aggregate.
That of course lead them here. Atletico Madrid also topped the group stopping Roma and Cluj from progressing. They then beat Arsenal 3-2 in the next round . The quarters saw them clash with Barcelona.
Atletico won on away goals. This meant that they played Chelsea in the Semi Final. They beat them 2-1 after a 2-0 victory at home.
I hope this will be a brilliant game.

Kick Off
1st minute: We are underway here and hopefully it will be something like the 2005 final.
Which was now 9 years ago.
44th minute: Gotze chases down the ball in his wide position and he’s pulled up here.
Gotze had a calf problem earlier this year which kept him out for a few months and this could be the same thing.
45th minute: A poor game so far it’s even worse than the 2003 final with zero chances.
69th minute: Arda Turan whips the ball in to the box but Schmelzer clears and Blaszczykowski picks it up and runs with it. He gives it to Sahin who is tackled on the half way line but he wins the ball back with a fantastic tackle. He gives it to Gundogan who gives it to Bender who speads it out wide to Blaszczykowski. He just passes it inside to Rondon who’s unmarked and RONDOOOOOOOONNNNN. RONDON GIVES DORTMUND THE LEAD IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL.
Fantastic break from Dortmund and it all started with a fabulous diving header from Schmelzer to clear the danger.
90th minute: Corner for Dortmund who are almost there. Sahin whips it in but Hummels can’t get there. Gundogan takes the ball and gives it back to Sahin who hits a first time cross and SHAWCROSS.
Ryan Shawcross makes sure that the Champions League trophy will come back to Dortmund. Lars Ricken and his crew have done it and they are going mental.
Final Score: Dortmund 2-0 Atletico Madrid
DORTMUND ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE.
