André rages at Tottenham injury woes.

Tottenham head coach, André Villas-Boas has blasted international friendlies, labelling them “pointless and irresponsible.” The remark comes days after combative midfielder, Paulinho suffered a broken toe while with international side, Brazil.
“
They [friendlies] do not help us when it comes to injuries. This year we have suffered several problems because of them. We have lost both Younes [Kaboul] and Eric [Dier] because of international matches that were not important, which has left me light in defence.”
“
I have also just lost Paulinho, who we can confirm has suffered a broken toe. On top of that, I have been told that Ricardo [Rodriquez] has suffered a broken lower leg during the final minutes of the Chelsea game and he could now miss the rest of the season.”
Remy (left) & Nasri (right) have also suffered from injuries during International duty
“
It’s completely irresponsible by them [International manangers]. These games are just pointless friendlies. I have had several players that could do with a rest, but no, despite my best wishes, managers still go ahead and play my players, causing problems to our domestic season. But as long as they get their result, it will be fine.”
André’s words come just weeks after several other high profile Premier League clubs were also left with injury worries. Manchester City lost playmaker Samir Nasri after he suffered a broken foot, while Newcastle United’s Loïc Rémy was recently diagnosed with Patellar tendonitis.
Despite the ongoing injury crisis, Villas-Boas side currently sit second in the table, 5 points off leaders, Chelsea.
