Terrific update! Shocked to see Van Wolfswinkel gets so many goals
Yay Chelsea won the league, nice update Nick
So many goals by RvW, and you got gang-banged by Messi & Co.. Might want to look at seeing your defense for less goals, which would win you the league.. Good luck next time around :D FUCK CHELSEA

EXCLUSIVE: Wenger sacked from Arsenal

Au Revoir: The Frenchman has been given the axe.

Arsene Wenger has been sacked by Arsenal Football club after 14 years at the helm.

The Frenchman has had a roller coaster of a journey at the North London based club, finishing the season in just 11th place. However it will is hard to believe that he will be without work long.

Before taking over Arsenal in 1996, he had managed both Nancy and Monaco in the French league, as well as Nagoya Grampus Eight from the Japanese League.

During his time with the Gunners, Wenger been credited for his contribution to the revolution of English football in the late 1990s through the introduction of changes in the training and diet of players.

In just his second season, Arsene had already bought success to the club, taking them to their second ever league and cup double after securing both the Premier League and FA Cup. After several near misses, Wenger bought the double back home to Highbury for a second time during his managerial reign at The Gunners, again winning the League – a season in which they scored in every single match and were unbeaten away from home – and the FA Cup, but the best from Wenger was yet to come.

In the 2003 – 2004 season, Wenger did the impossible and made history by being only the second ever team to go unbeaten in the football league, which was accomplished by Preston North End 115 years ago.

Since that day, however, Wenger has seen his grip on the premier league title become increasingly loose. The rise to power of money machines, Roman Abramovich and Sheikh Mansour, as well as the resurge of Liverpool, and that of recently of North London rivals, Tottenham, have seen life at the top become very uncomfortable.

Arsenal have found it difficult in recent years with keeping up with the riches of Abramovich and Mansour, and despite the influx of new talent, Arsene has yet to win a trophy. Just last year it seemed as if Wenger had finally built a team that could once again challenge for the title after getting rid of the dead wood and fringe players. A midfield that boasted of talent with the likes of Pjanic, Özil and Wilshere, as well as highly rated youngster Iker Muniain, was a side that most teams would envy.

Off: Wilshere has been linked with a move to Manchester City

Despite the talented midfield and solid defence, Arsenal finished the season in a lowly 11th place. Pjanic was subsequently dropped to the bench – making just 6 league appearances during Wengers last year at the club, while Munain struggled to adapt.

Recent reports have now linked Arsenals Jack Wilshere with a move away from the Emirates, with talks that a switch to the Etihad could be waiting in the wings. Is Jack about to follow the likes of Nasri, Gael Clichy and Adebayor to the blue side of Manchester?
Great update! :D Sad to see him go, but I guess he did pretty poorly.
It is a shame but he was shit this season cracking update though
Awesome update. Sad times :(
Adam Yay, finally!!!!!!! :P

Paddy Thanks, me too. He was only on about 22 with 2 games left!

Jozef Thank you! They were really good in the league

Jeremy Yeah, we were doing so well against them too... I'm trying out a new tactic, I conceded a fair few with my last one.

Adam Cheers, yeah, he was terrible for some reason.

Jason Thanks :)

Paddy Thank you, and yeah, I wonder if he gets a job elsewhere

Tottenham eye English defender

Caulker could be heading back to his old club, Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur are among a number of clubs looking at Cardiff City defender, Steven Caulker. Manchester United and Manchester City scouts were seen watching the London born player during Cardiffs 2-0 win over Eredivise side, AZ.

Caulker, who is a product of Tottenham Hotspurs youth academy spent 5 years at White Hart Lane, however made just 18 appearances before being sold to Cardiff City for a fee thought to be in excess of £8m. He was a key figure in Malky Mackay’s side that eventually finished 5th in the league, making 35 appearances and scoring 3 goals.

Villas-Boas, who sold the England international to Cardiff two years ago declined to comment on his interest on Caulker, but did state that “They were looking at brining in a central defender.” The Tottenham coach also confirmed that they would consider offers for Romanian defender, Vlad Chiriches, with several clubs thought to be interested, including Real Madrid, Juventus and Napoli.
Caulker > Vlad, js :P
I really like Caulker :D Would be a good return signing :)
Caulker is a cracking player on FM so would be £8m well worth it :)

What a Caulker: Ex-Tottenham youngster ready to rejoin Spurs

On The Move: Caulker is set to rejoin Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham have won the race to the signing of Steven Caulker, beating both Manchester United and Manchester City. The fee thought to be around £12m, with add ons.

Caulker will be coming back to the North London club, just two years after he left, but is said to be delighted to be back.

It’s great. I always wanted to prove myself at this club. I got the opportunity to go out on loan and get Premier League experience a few years back with Swansea, which was great for me.

Then, last year, the gaffer obviously didn’t think I was good enough at the time, but I understand, they’re a big club chasing the top four. The opportunity for a move to Cardiff came, and they showed good vision, they have a great squad, but it was different [at Cardiff] - it was a little more relaxed, but as a group we showed what we can do last year, we showed that we can fight for the European places.

We were all delighted, it’s a great feeling to play in Europe, but my agent came to me and told me about interest from Tottenham, as well as some other clubs, but I knew straight away I wanted to go back [to Spurs]. It’s a great traditional club and I’m glad that I’m back here. I will rub shoulders with some of the best players in the league , and even the world, in Jan Vertonghen, Hugo Lloris, Erik Lamela etc. I’m just happy that the manager has faith in me.

Meanwhile, Vlad Chiriche?' future still remains in doubt. A host of European clubs, included Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan have all shown interest in the player, but Villas-Boas denies that there has been any contact with the club.
WOOO Caulker! He'll be a great signing mate, he'll do great hopefully
Woo! :D Great signing, glad United didn't get him.
