Eriksen extends Spurs contract
We are delighted to announce that Christian Eriksen has agreed to extend his contract until 2022.
Christian Eriksen, 25, joined Tottenham in 2013 from Ajax Amsterdam. An Integral part of the Tottenham side, Eriksen soon became a fan favourite with his impressive displays.
During his Spurs career thus far, he has won several personal awards, including being shortlisted for the FIFA Ballon d'OR in 2013 and 2015, as well as being named the 2013 European Golden Boy and earning himself a place in FIFA's 2014 World XI of the Year. His impressive displays in the Champions League have also seen him placed in the UEFA Champions League Dream team two years in a row, between 2016 and 2017.
Domestically, he has won the 2013/2014 and 2014/15 Writers Footballer of the Year, the 2015/16 PFA Young Player of the Year and 2016/17 PFA Player of the Year. Eriksen has also made the PFA Team of the Year 4 years in a row.
He has made a total of 210 appearances during his Spurs career, scoring 31 goals and assisting 94. His efforts for Spurs have seem him lift The Capital One Cup (2015), Two FA Cups (2015 & 2017), A McDonalds Community Shield (2015), Two Barclays Premier League titles (2016 & 2017), The UEFA Champions League (2017), the UEFA Super Cup (2017) and the FIFA Club World Cup (2017)
