Spurs celebrate Sextuple!

Celebrations: Villas-Boas celebrates on the sidelines
It was a season to remember for Tottenham Hotspur fans, with Villas-Boas winning no less than 6 trophies during Tottenham's campaign - taking his trophy haul to 14 in 6 years. Added onto that, Spurs fans also got to watch their local rivals - Arsenal - fall from their perch with an all mighty thud after finishing their disastrous season in a sorry 19th place, meaning they'll be spending the next season stuck in the Championship.

Gutted: Arsenal will spend the next season in the Sky Bet Championship
Before the season begun, Villas-Boas spoke about how it would be 'near impossible' for Spurs to replicate their Champions League form from last year, which saw them go on to beat the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City, and end the season as eventual winners. The win saw Spurs lift a European trophy for the first time since 1984. It also meant that Tottenham had 2 more extra trophies up for grabs: The Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Tottenham entered the season with a change to win 7 major trophies, they finished the season with 6.
Their first trophy was the Community Shield, which they won by demolishing a weakened Manchester United side, 4-0. A 2-1 Win over Wolfsburg went on to see them earn their second trophy of the season within a month, securing the Super Cup. By December 17th, Spurs had wrapped up their third of the campaign, overcoming Toronto FC and River Plate to lift the FIFA Club World Cup. So far, 3/3.
In January, a shock 3-2 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa in the third round saw Spurs drop out of the FA Cup. Despite leading 2-0, Spurs seemed to buckle under the pressure, it signified their second defeat all season - their first just several days before, against Hull City in the league.
Spurs, however, battled on. Securing a 4-1 win over Norwich in the Capital One Cup semi finals. The win saw Spurs enter their fourth Capital One Cup final appearance in as many years. The final would see Spurs pair up against Community Shield finalists Manchester United. The match finished 1-0 to Tottenham. The North London club had secured their fourth trophy of the season, and still had their sights on both the Premier and Champions League.

Fortress: Tottenham have won 51 out of 56 home games since moving to their new staidum.
A 5-3 defeat at the hands of French side Olympique Marseille at the Stade Velódrome looked set to end Tottenham's stay in the Champions League, if it weren't for the clubs superb home form. Since their move into New White Hart Lane last year, Spurs have played a total of 56 home games, winning 51 and drawing drawing 5. Their winning streak continued, beating the French side 4-0.
Spurs added their 5th after winning the Premier League with 3 games to go. So far, 5/6. Their last possible trophy was the Champions League. After seeing off United and Barcelona in the Quarter Finals and Semi's, Spur's had to face last year finalists again - Manchester City. Unlike last year, Spurs dominated the game - deservedly coming up as winners. Not only had they defended the Champions League - the second club to do so - they had secured their 6th trophy of the season.
The season saw Villas-Boas enter in to Tottenham's Hall of Fame, along side Legends Bill Nic and Danny Blanchflower.
Goal.com reporter, Greg Stobart spoke to Villas-Boas soon after Spurs completed the sextuple, but the Portuguese in no hurry to lap up the praise. Instead, choosing to praise his players

"To be able to win 6 trophies is amazing. To be able to defend the Champions League is something I never thought i'd be able to achieve, but I have because of my players. Everyone that has played for Tottenham since I've been here as always given it their all. If anything, you should be speaking to them [the players]. It was down to them, not me. I gave them faith and told them what to do, they're the ones that put in all the hard work."
Villas-Boas has certainly set the bar high, but one even he knows he may never achieve again in his Managerial career.
