Tottenham Hotspur are set to let two more players leave,
Metro can reveal.
Tottenham Hotspur's Head Coach, André Villas-Boas met with Tottenham's chairman, Daniel Levy, earlier last week to discuss potential transfers in the summer window.
Daniel Levy, 56, is the Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur and has been for the last 17 years. Levy replaced former Chairman,
Sir Alan Sugar in Feburary 2001 after ENIC bought a controlling stake in the club. His time at Spurs has been very hit and miss, often putting business before football, and making some very rash decisions. His time as Spurs Chairman has seen him go through a succession of managers, including George Graham, Glenn Hoddle David Pleat, Martin Jol, Juande Ramos and Harry Redknapp.
According to an inside source, Villas-Boas has spoken to Levy, reiterating the fact that he would rather focus on bringing in youth players, with the Portuguese boss happy with most of his current playing squad. However, several names were given to Levy by Tottenham's Villas-Boas as players that he could look to sell.
Two of the players believed to be on the list included were Cameroonian defender, Nkoulou and Colombian striker, Jackson Martínez.
Set to leave: Martínez (left) and Nkoulou (right) are on their way out of White Hart Lane
Nkoulou moved to Spurs on Transfer Deadline Day in 2016 for a fee of £14.5m, potentially rising to £20m. He has failed to impress since his move, finding it difficult to recapture his form which subsequently saw him move to Barcelona.
N'Koulou began his career at Kadji Sports Academy in Douala. The same academy that produced the likes of Samuel Eto'o, Carlos Kameni, and Eric Djemba-Djemba. In late 2007, it was announced that he was acquired by the principality-based side AS Monaco FC. Four years after his move to AS Monaco, French Champions OM bought the center back for an undisclosed fee in 2011. His 4 years at Marsielle saw him make 109 league appearances, scoring a single goal and getting 2 assists. In 2015 he moved to Barcelona for £14.75m, where he stayed for a season before joining Tottenham.
It is believed that the Cameroonian is set to complete a switch to Real Madrid. The Center Backs agent, Jacky Garnier confirmed that he is in talks with Real Madrid, with Nicolas set to sign a 5 year contract. It is believed that Real Madrid will be acquiring Nkoulou for around £25m
Another set for the axe is fan favourite, Jackson Martínez. The Colombian striker signed a new contract last year, which saw him become one of Tottenham's highest earners, earning around £95k a week.
Martínez, who recently turned 31, could leave for as little as £5m, with Italian side Udinese set to finalize talks in the next couple of days.
He moved to Spurs from Portugese side FC Porto, where he had two impressive seasons, bagging 49 goals in 58 appearances. His move to North London cost Tottenham an initial fee of around £13m, but is believed to have risen to around £15m.
During his time at Spurs, he became one of the most leathal strikers in Europe, picking up two successive Premier League and Addidas European Golden Boot awards. He made 131 league appearances for Tottenham in 4 years, scoring 81 goals.
His last year at Spurs was tough for Martínez, with recent Serbian signing, Aleksander Mitrovic starting to find form for Spurs towards the end of the season. The Serb finished the season with 16 goals and 7 assists in 13 appearances across all competitions.
