Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to Hampden Park! Tonight's we have the semi final of the Scottish League Cup between Celtic and Rangers! I'll hand you over now to our commentary team of Chris Sutton and Kenny Miller

Yes what a game we have on our hands tonight Kenny! Celtic as expected dominating the league and as too are Rangers. Both teams will be coming into this fixture full of confidence won't you agree?

Absolutely, as you said Celtic are having it easy at the minute and Rangers are looking likely to go up. It should be a fantastic game of football.

What did you make of Neil Lennon's words to Dean Byrne in the past few days? He believes this too be a walkover. Do you think there is some mind games being played here?

Neil knows exactly what he's doing here but to be fair Byrne didn't bite back.

Right the formations have just come in, lets take a look at how the teams lineup

http://i39.tinypic.com/313sw1x.png

As we expected from both teams regarding formations, The only real change from Rangers is that Mark O'Hara drops to the bench after some poor league performances and in comes Chris Hegerty

No Samaras for Celtic who is currently suspended and interestingly enough Chambers and Crainey both get starts. Anyhow let's get down to kickoff

0'Rangers kick off and the atmosphere around the place is electric! Neil Lennon and Dean Byrne haven't shaken hands so at least the media will have a story gaureenteed for tomorrow.

3' Rangers win a corner after Izaguirre blocked Griffiths shot. Lee Wallace has a dangerous delivery and could be a useful threat during the game. Lee Wallace puts it in with power and finds NICKY LAW!!!!!!!!! Rangers have taken the lead and it's a Nicky Law header! The stewards are finding it hard to hold the fans back!

16' Celtic have enjoyed most of the possession since going behind but it's all in front of Rangers. Dean has got his side well drilled defensively for this game

31'Ah what a chance for Griffiths! He managed to wriggle his way past two defenders but blazes his shot over the bar

HT - Celtic 0 - 1 Rangers

45'Rangers have looked good value for their lead so far, Celtic will need to up their game.

SubstitutionOff comes Cech who hasn't had too much to do and is replaced by O'Hara at the back for Rangers.

59'O'Hara to Johnny Russell who will fancy his chances here agaisnt Izaguirre. Oh Russell has nutmegged him and puts in a fantastic cross and NICKY LAW HAS SMASHED IT IN! What a volley that was! Rangers are in dreamland, it's 2-0!!

65'Good save from Cammy Bell! Scott Brown had a free kick from 23 yards which looks destined for the top corner, Rangers having to soak up some pressure now.

78'Wallace swings in another corner, Celtic manage to clear but only to the edge of the box and O'HARA!!!! IT'S 3-0 AND SURELY GAME OVER! Celtic fail to clear their lines properly and it's the sub that pounces.

80'The Celtic fans have had enough, cries of "Cheerio Cherrio" are being heard from the Rangers fans along with "One team in Glasgow!"

81'A LIFELINE FOR CELTIC! IZAGUIRRE HEADS HOME FROM A CORNER! Celtic have got one back, can we be witnessing a great comeback?

FT - Celtic 1 - 3 Rangers

That's it, Rangers are through! They will face Hearts in the final of the Scottish League Cup. That's all from us tonight, thanks to our commentary team of Kenny Miller and Chris Sutton see you again at the final!

Wow what a compliment! Thanks mate and you should do a story! I will follow it :D

February - Closing In

Rangers are within touching distance of becoming champions of the Scottish Championship after February, needing just 7 points from their remaining 7 games.

On the results...
We began February with a great win at home to Ross County. I had expected more from them but in the end we ran out comfortable winners. We were almost humiliated the following week at Morton if it hadn't of been for Leigh Griffiths, I think we showed signs of complacency in that game so I want to secure the title as soon as possible. In the other game Johnny Russell got us the win which will do his confidence the world of good

On playing Hibernian next...
I think someone said to me we need something like 6 or 7 points to win the league, well if we beat Hibernian next week they will be as good as gone. That will be treated like a huge game as it will be our last big one in the league before the end of the season.

On beating Celtic...
The best day of my managerial career! What made it sweeter was the fact Neil Lennon had publicly written us off before hand, and that it was at Celtic Park.

On Scottish League Cup final next month...
Like I said a few months back, we haven't fared well in the cups during my time here, and that's something myself and the coaching staff wanted to address. Hampden Park is a special stadium, and if we can beat Hearts, who are a good team, it will be a special moment.

A great victory over Celtic! Some glimpses of the Old Rangers :D

Cheers mate! Hopefully we can become better than the Old!

End Of Season - Champions!

Rangers may not have been at their best in the last few months of the season, but secured The Scottish Championship nevertheless.

On winning the title...
We are going up say we are going up! What a feeling to add another title to the club, we are back where we belong! It's been a tough season and Hibernian gave us a good chase but in the end our quality showed and we deserved our title!

On the results...
We played very poorly at the end of the season which was slightly concerning. Hibernian beat us well and we could only as many draws as we did wins. Things will need to improve for next season

Rangers faced the agony of losing on cup final day, and will be especially annoyed after the way the game panned out

On the result...
What a disaster! I was sure this was our year to win a cup, especially after beating Celtic in the semis. What made it worse was that we completely outplayed Hearts and gave away 2 silly goals. Our cup woes continue

On the season...
We had another great year, even though it ended losing a final. Over the past two years we have only lost 3 league games and we are yet to lose one away from home. We achieved our aim of promotion and won the title and also got a victory over Celtic, in my eyes that's a great year!

NOTE : Updates will continue next weekend due to school commitments!
