Great win against Benfica! :D
Awesome story mate. Incredible results!

Sporting Sign Gum

Sporting CP have completed the signing of Brazilian left back Gum from Brazilian Serie C side Tupi FC for £45k. The 15 year old only joined Tupi this season, being found in a local youth team and signed up, although has caught the eye of one of Sporting's scouts, and now the dream has come true for Gum.

This continues Sporting's tradition of trying to bring players through the youth system, and this is another prospect signed from Brazil, along with the more high-profile Adryan. There are also several great midfield prospects such as Bruma and Labyad, and also a keeper in the academy who is thought to be able to rival number one Patricio in a couple of years. The future looks bright for Lothar Matthaus' Sporting side.

Gum's transfer to the Lisbon club won't go through until the start of the 2016-17 season, as Brazilian players are not allowed to join foreign clubs before they turn 18.
Gum? That is just a beautiful, beautiful name ;)
Can I have a screenshot mate? Anyways, I told you were going to beat Benfica! Sad that these results aren't in real life! :'(.
Love the story, by the way, some incredible results!
Here is a screenshot of Gum now if anyone is interested:

Matthaus: "The Title Is Ours"

Sporting CP manager Lothar Matthaus has declared to his team's rivals that "the title is ours" despite it being only October. Sporting have beaten both Porto and Benfica in the league already this season, and top the Liga ZON SAGRES table by 4 points ahead of Braga.

Speaking in a press-conference following his team's derby win over Benfica, Matthaus made the bold statemets. "If you look at how we're playing and how we've been playing this season, you can see we are going to be massive contenders for the title, and I'd even put us down as favourites. We've had some great results against Barcelona and Juventus this season, and we managed to beat Porto away, and we just took three points off Benfica at our ground. If we play like this for the rest of the season, or even for most of it, the title is our."

Matthaus was speaking in a press conference to announce his new signing Gum, who joins in 2016, and also take questions about his Taca da Portugal Third Round tie away to Olhanense.
Anyone have a spare stick of Gum?

We're all comedians aren't we? :P

Sporting To Sign Kelvin

Sporting CP have completed the signing of Brazilian striker Kelvin on a free transfer, and he will join when the transfer window reopens in January. The striker who can also play attacking midfield was released by Porto at the end of the 2012-13 season, and has now accepted Sporting's offer to join the Lisbon club.

Kelvin was only signed by Porto at the beginning of last season for £1.2m from Rio Ave, and although he scored 4 goals in 11 games for Porto, the 20-year-old failed to convince the backroom staff to reward him with a new contract, and he was let go to find a new club. The striker will provide extra cover for the Sporting squad, and should also be able to contribute when he starts.

Kelvin will be on £5.75k p/w until the end of the 2015/16 season.

Great win against Benfica Blue. Gum and Kelvin look to be good signings, and I definitely know that you will win the title. :D

It's a pity I can't get Gum until 2016 really. I wanted to have him around the club learning from professionals, but hopefully he'll be ready for some first team action when he arrives.

Monthly Review

The month started off with a couple of tough games against Galatasary and Benfica. We also had a Champions League game against Spartak, which was incredibly and surprisingly easy. In the league apart from his we had easy games, but we made a meal out of winning them. We also won in the cup, so I’d class it as a good month overall.

League Table

We sit first and six points clear of Braga who are second. I am hoping for more of the same in September.
A perfect month for you. Glad to see things are still going well for you. Winning the league the minimum requirement this season?

Nah, winning a domestic treble more like!
