I'm Proud

"Life in the Football League has certainly been a step up from the Conference Leagues. The football is much more demanding, but much more rewarding. Being a part of a professional football club has been the dream for most of the players, and for Vauxhall Motors to be a professional club has made it that much sweeter!

We had a very tough start to the season but we have now settled down very nicely. I know that it is still very days, but we do look comfortable in this division. Our attacking prowess, combined with our steely motivation gives us the belief and the desire to walk out on to the pitch and to perform when we need to perform. We do have our bad games, but we have managed to pick ourselves up and move on with the passion that any football fan dreams of.

The three youngsters, Lloyd Carlisle, Harry Byrne and Curtis O'Donnell have performed tremendously since I brought them up in to the senior squad. I know that there were many people who questioned my decision at the time but I don't they will disagree with it now. They have proved to me, and to the world, that they are not just the future of this club, but a part of the present! They have delighted me and the rest of the club, and I'm proud of them!"

Really great update: as per usual :P

Season Four: October Update

Hey guys, I'm back in to writing this story now and I have a few updates ready to be posted. :) First of all is the October Update and this month looked like a very difficult month on paper. Hopefully we could pull of some scalps.

Our month was very inconsistent. We won two, drew one and lost three. On the bright side, these are better results than I was expecting and we are scoring regularly. Hopefully we can continue our goal scoring form through the rest of the season.

We sit in 12th place in the league, which is very good for a team like us. We are just four points away from a play-off spot but the most important stat is that we are nine points clear of the relegation zone. This gap will prove to be very important for us as we continue on our quest this season.

If I don't make them, this season wouldn't be a failure. My only goal is to avoid relegation. Maybe next season is the season where we can think about promotion. :)

Season Four: November Update

With our season looking better than expected, we were looking to claim some points in a very tough set of games. We knew that if we could claim some points now, our relegation battle would be easier. This is how November went:

We played very poorly this month, incredibly poor. We claimed just one point against an unusually poor Bradford team. We need to pick ourselves up if we want to stay in the Football Leagues.

It is no shock that we have slipped down to 17th but we are still five points clear from the relegation zone. We need to claim points from the teams around us and hope to move away from the bottom. I will target a Top 15 finish for the end of the season.

December Fixtures

We have three quickfire games against beatable teams before a weeks break. We then play Port Vale and Southend at home, both are beatable teams for us. Hopefully we can claim a couple of wins to push on this season.
Unlucky to slip down the table, but you can get back up the table!

On Our Way (to the top)

"Our form has fallen rapidly. We have struggled to get control in recent games but that is something that we are looking to work on. The players know that they can pull the magic out of the hat when we need it, we proved that at Wembley. We know we need to improve and we are working towards that.

Ok, so we have been poor recently. We are still much, much higher than we were expected to be. That is something to be very proud of. The players have done very well to adjust to the change in class from the Conference to the Football Leagues. We are in a place that we are happy with and we will always look to move up a gear.

Since I took over, we have climbed up the steep mountain to the top. We are improving, very steadily too. We dream of one day playing in the Premier League. That is our goal for the future. We might not get there soon, but we are on our way!"

Season Four: December Update

We were on a very poor run coming in to December. With just one month left in the calender year, we were looking to end 2015 on a high.

We did poorly this month. We claimed just one win, one draw and three losses from five games. We suffered a huge loss to Fleetwood which has hurt the confidence of our players. We need to find results somewhere to stay in this division.

We are slowly being sucked down to the bottom. This is not where we want to be and we will strive to get out of the grave which we are digging for ourselves.

January Fixtures

We will battle for every single point to stay in the Football Leagues. If we can get some sort of run together, I reckon that we can survive.
