Thanks guys, I can't wait to keep pushing forward in this league :)

Season Eight: New Kits Revealed

Vauxhall Motors have revealed their kits for the new season. They have new sponsors and makers for the season. Vauxhall became the first club to have their kits made by popular clothing brand Hollister. These kits are said to feel comfortable and fit well. Crown Paints are the new sponsors, and they are a well known former sponsor of Liverpool Football Club. These kits look very nice and a step up from last season's kits.

Well done on staying up! Love the new kits to! Good luck :)

Season Eight: Pre-season

Last season we had incredibly escaped relegation when we looked set to go down. This season we are looking to improve from the last and to push higher up the table. The pre-season will be key for us as we look to improve the squad, improve our finances and to get the players match fit before the start of the season.

Friendlies

We had a very good pre-season, winning four, drawing one and losing just one of six games. We performed well to beat Everton and Club Brugge, who are very well known clubs. We played some very good football and my 4-5-1 tactic has worked very well (details of this tactic will be in the next update). Hopefully we can play this football in the league.

Transfers

This was a very busy transfer window for us, as we released ten players and bought eleven players. We spent £120,000 on two players, while the rest were free transfers. These signings are not all top, top players, a lot of them were signed to strengthen the squad rather than to improve the first team.

Christopher Chantler is an experienced English left back. He was signed on a free transfer from Wycombe, where he performed very well in League One. He is a good defender, with decent pace and a good work rate. He is also a good option for set-pieces, and is very good at striking the ball. He will be a rotation option for left-back with Ian Bermingham.
Fee: Free Transfer

Nico Yennaris is a Cypriot Defensive Midfielder who also has Chinese and Irish as his other nationalities. He graduated from the Arsenal academy but after failing to break in to the first team, he left on a free transfer to Gillingham, where he became a key player. Having clocked up over 120 appearances for Gillingham, he wanted a step-up in teams and we signed him. He will play in either DM or DR for us and will be a good back-up player.
Fee: Free Transfer

Ian Bermingham is an experienced Irish left back signed from Shrewsbury. Having had many wonderful years in the League of Ireland, he has proven to be a consistent performer. He is a brilliant defender and is very good at attacking too. He is a top quality player and will rotate with Chantler for the left back position.
Fee: Free Transfer

Brad McKay is a Scottish center back signed from St. Johnstone. He is a very intelligent defender and is physically sound. He is a hard-working team player and is a good leader. He is a good tackler too. He will be fighting for a first team spot this season and does help fill out our squad.
Fee: £80,000

Isaiah Osbourne is an English center midfielder signed on a free transfer, after previously being an important player for Leicester. He is probably the best signing we made in this transfer window. All his stats are good, with brilliant Marking and Tackling stats. He will play a huge part in our season, and will occupy the DM position.
Fee: Free Transfer
Star Signing

Sam Slocombe is an experienced English goalkeeper who has previously played for Scunthorpe and Brentford. Having had a fall out with the Brentford manager, he was released on a free transfer and I had signed him up to play back-up to Jordan Hart. He has some good goalkeeping stats and will hopefully play well when called upon.
Fee: Free Transfer

Jordan Kirkpatrick is a Scottish winger who played for Dag & Red last season. However, injuries halted his season and eventually he decided he wanted a change in environment. He is not the best player ever but he provides depth to the squad and probably won't stick around once we reach the Premier League.
Fee: Free Transfer

Kevin Dawson is an Irish midfielder who had played for Yeovil last season. He was a key player for them but he wanted to move to a bigger club and left at the end of his contract. He is very good on the ball and will be a good playmaker for us. He isn't a fantastic player for this league, but he helps strengthen our midfield.
Fee: Free Transfer

Ross Perry is a a Scottish center back who had played for Barnsley previously. He has very good stats all-round and he will be fighting for a starting spot this season. I reckon he will perform well, hopefully he will prove me right.
Fee: Free Transfer

Michael Chambers is an English center back signed from Bournemouth. He is a very limited defender but he will boost our squad depth enormously. He is a very tall player and his decision making and determination are very good. He will be a good player when he plays.
Fee: £40,000

Niels Andersen is a young Danish right back who came from the FC Kobenhavn academy. He doesn't fit in my only UK/Irish player rule, but he does fit in the foreign player of 18 yrs or under rule. He has a lot of potential and could turn out to be a good Premier League player. He is a good defender and he is high stamina. He will get game time at right back this season.
Fee: Free Transfer

August Fixtures

We kick off the season with a tough away game to Sheffield Wednesday in the league. We then play Mansfield in the League Cup. Our other four games are winnable, and hopefully we can pick up a good amount of points from them. Hopefully this will be a good year for us.

Euan Smith: Premier League is the dream

Euan Smith: "This will be my fourth season for Vauxhall now. I've been told that in my last three seasons, I have played 127 games and scored 63 goals. For me, that is a record I can be proud of. But I'm not done yet, I want to score in the Premier League.

Playing for Vauxhall is such a great joy and I hope that we can play in the Premier League soon. Paul Hewson is, in my opinion, the best manager in England. His approach to games and his team talks are fantastic. Playing for him is a joy and I have improved from being a League 2 player to being a Championship player under him. Hopefully I can improve to being a Premier League player under him too.

I scored 22 goals in the Championship last season, but this season I'm targeting 30. I know it sounds very optimistic, but I believe our squad has improved enough for me to get more chances to score. From then, it is up to me to take them. Hopefully I can get called up to the Scottish team too, but my aim is to help Vauxhall reach the Premier League and that is what I will focus on."

Euan will be bulging them Premiership nets in no time! How the hell do you pronounce that by the way (Euan)?
You're still sh*te, Smith. You're still sh*te :P
@neal, "You-an" :P

@Rab, I know, only one of the top goalscorers in the Championship. Sure we could do better :P
There are some class stories on this site and I think many other people would agree with me that this story is one of the best! KIU :)
