Season Eight: November Update

After our recent drop in form, we were slowly beginning to sink down the table. We were looking to halt our fall and raise our game to challenge for promotion.

Results

This month was amazing for us. We won five games and drew one of six games in total. We started off the month with convincing wins over Tranmere and Sheffield United at home, with Euan Smith and Isaiah Osbourne being the stand-out stars. We then went to Elland Road to beat Leeds 5-1. Our next two games were title clashes against QPR and Everton, where we came out the victors for both games. We then went away to Birmingham to earn a hard-fought draw. A brilliant month and I'm glad to have won the Manager of the Month award!

Player of the Month

Euan Smith is my player of the month for November. The Scottish striker scored six goals in six games in what was a fantastic month for him. He has been our key player and he will continue to be so in the coming few seasons.

NPower Championship

We have climbed back to the top of the table and we have a seven point lead over Everton, who also have a game-in-hand over us. Our Goal Difference is now an impressive +21, and that is thanks to our fantastic defensive record. Hopefully we can stay in this position for the rest of the season.

New Signing

Sander Kaljuste is an Estonian wonderkid signed on a free transfer. He was 18 when I did sign him (the day before he became 19), so technically he passes my rules for foreign signings. He has wonderful all-round technical stats so I will train him as an MC and play him there. He will become a wonderful player and an amazing capture for us.
Fee: Free Transfer

November Fixtures

We have seven fixtures next month which will be very tiring. We kick off with three home games against Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn. We then play away to Burnley before a Boxing Day match away to Charlton. We finish off the month with home games against Bournemouth and Leicester. I am hoping for at least 10 points from the next month.

That he is :)
Cheers pal :)
ooohh what a signing and how about those results. You destroyed everyone ( Especially Leeds :)) ) Keep pushing for that title win.
Great signing Justice and you destroyed tons of teams. The PL won't be able to hold you!
Fantastic month mate! Euan Smith is an absolute bear!
Thanks guys, I'm going to keep pushing on :P
Yoo-an! Yoo-an! :P

Kaljuste looks a fantastic transfer mate!
Only 10 points? What kind of manager are you? Always aim for 21!
Yeah Neal, "Yoo-an" is fantastic :P

Sorry Oki, will raise my expectations from now on ;)
An Estonian wonderkid! :D Nice to see someone from Estonia for once, haven't seen an Estonian signing in an FM Scout story before.

I hope he turns out well, he looks promising :)

Season Eight: December Update

After bouncing back from a bad run of form to reclaim top spot, we were looking to end the year on a high and pick up a very strong position for promotion.

Results

Our target point total for this month was ten points, we picked up a total sixteen points, which is fantastic for us. We started off with a comfortable win over Barnsley, before Sheffield Wednesday claimed a point against us. We bounced back with a win over Blackburn but Burnley pegged us back with them being the victors. We recovered from this and went on to beat Charlton, Bournemouth and Leicester. We were in fantastic form and I am pleased with our results.

Player of the Month

Euan Smith is my player of the month for a second month running. The striker scored six goals in seven games, a total to be very proud of. He has been sensational for us recently and his form has been a big factor of our positive performances.

NPower Championship

We now have a five point gap between us and second place Everton, but they do have a game-in-hand which would put them to within two points of us. We are doing unbelievably well and I am delighted with our progress. Hopefully we can win the league this year and get promoted.

January Fixtures

We have just four games next month, which is a relief. Unfortunately, all of them are away, including an FA Cup tie at Carrow Road. Four points and giving Norwich a good game will be enough to please me.

The Childhood Dream

It has always been the dream of Paul Hewson (Bono) to play for Celtic FC. As a kid growing up in Ireland, he fell in love with Glasgow's Celtic. He had been to Celtic Park many times to cheer on his beloved Hoops. He was a die-hard Celtic fan and he would have done anything to play for them one day.

What if he had the chance to manage them? What would he do if the Celtic board offered him the chance of a life time to live what he dreamed of as a child? Would he turn down the opportunity to stay at Vauxhall Motors, where he is at home? Or would he grab the opportunity with both hands and never let it go?

Well I can tell you now that the dream can become a reality. On the 12th of January 2020, Celtic FC offered Paul Hewson a four-year contract worth an estimated £20,000 per week to manage the Hoops. He was offered a transfer kitty of no less than £10,000,000 to boost the team which Paul Hewson always dreamed of playing for.

Does he stay at Vauxhall Motors to continue his epic journey, or does he pack his bags and ship off to Celtic, where he always dreamed of being?

Vauxhall all the way!
