Euan Smith is still only a Vauxhall "Icon" though :/

Beautiful Day

Sky Sports News
"Paul Hewson (Bono), the man who lead Vauxhall Motors from the Blue Square Bet North to the Barclays Premier League in just eight seasons, earlier an interview with our reporter Jamie Carragher. In those eight seasons in charge, he has earned five promotions, and two league titles (BSN & NPL2). He has engraved his name in the history of Vauxhall Motors, and the history of English football. With many successful years past, the future for Paul Hewson and Vauxhall Motors looks very bright."

Bono: "I think we reached our long-term ambitions in rather less time that we or anybody else ever anticipated! The praise for this has to go down to the staff, the board, the fans and of course, the players. Every single player put their heart and soul in to every game to get us to where we are now. Earning promotion to the Premier League is a reward for their fine work, and it is well deserved!

As a football club, we are always looking to improve on the season before. So for next season, our target would be to avoid relegation. I believe that if we can do so, we are moving forward in leaps and bounds. A lot of money will be spent this summer on transfers, and I have quite a few targets lined up already. I can promise you this, Vauxhall Motors will have some top players joining the club. These players will be signed because of what they can add to the team, and because they match our ambitions and our mentality towards the game.

There are reports of us scouting a young player in Mexico, although you guys in Sky aren't actually sure who he is, do you? I can confirm that these reports are true and we will be doing everything in our power to sign him, no matter what the price may be. He will be a huge asset to our team and to our cause, so hopefully we can get the deal done sooner rather than later.

I won't just be adding youth to my squad, however. I believe we do need more experience, especially players who have played at this level on a regular basis before. So that is a department we will be looking to strengthen. I can confirm that our current captain and vice-captain, Stephen McDonnell and Mark Timlin, will both be leaving the club this summer. They are currently surplus to requirements and a new captain and vice captain will be appointed soon enough.

We aren't where we dream of being just yet. We want to reach the pinnacle of world football and to do that, we must conquer the game as we know it. We are going in the right direction, but we are not there yet. I'm positive that we can get there one day, and that we are getting closer every single day. Maybe one day in the near future we will be known as 'one of the greats'!

For now though, we can be delighted with our work. This has been a wonderful season for us and the feeling of jubilation is in the air! We are all delighted with our progress and when I see the fans cheer us on at Vauxhall Stadium, I can't help but smile. Everyday at Vauxhall is a Beautiful Day!"

Awesome updates there. Euan Smith legend! Haha and a nice talk with Bono with a legendary song to finish it off
Is it me, or is Bono always in the same position?
It truly is a beautiful day in.......uhhhhhh........VAUXHALL TOWN! :P
Thanks for the comments guys :) Yes, Bono is now just a talking statue :P
Wait Carragher was giving the interview. You know in America they have to put on subtitles when he speaks, lololol. Was it the same here?
They actually had a translator for him too but even the translator had difficulties understanding him ;)

Anoruo: One More Season

Obi Anoruo: "I know I haven't played much football recently here at Vauxhall Motors, and I only made two sub appearances last season, but I did manage to score a goal in the final game of the season. Scoring those goals makes the wait worth it.

I love this club and I love scoring for this club. If that means I have to wait a whole season to score, I will do that. I would do anything to help Vauxhall Motors move forward and that is my objective. My dream is to play in the Premier League, and I can fulfill that dream this season. That is all I want to accomplish now, apart from helping Vauxhall reach newer heights.

I only have one more year left on my contract, and I intend to see it out here. When the time comes at the end of the season where I must discuss my future with the gaffer (Paul Hewson), I am confident we can decide what is best for me, and what is best for the club."
