Veteran Horvath Joins Southampton


Czech Republic Player of the Year and Viktoria Plzen captain Pavel Horvath has signed for Southampton for a fee of £525k. The 37 year old centre midfielder has signed a 1 year contract with suspected wages of £5k p/w. Southampton manager Adam Walker said at the press conference "Pavel has been their and done everything. His experience is so valuable to our squad. I just hope he can find the time to help out some of our youngsters and help them grow as players." He will join officially on the 9th of June 2012.
37 years old? holding midfielder by any chance? thats all id use him for, but you cant beat a good player of the year signing :) good luck in the prem :)

Curtis Nelson Joins Southampton


Young Plymouth Centre Back Curtis Nelson has signed for Southampton. Nelson is said to be delighted to be joining the Championship winners and is looking forward to playing in the Premier League. The versatile 19 year old has been scouted by Adam Walker personally for a couple of months and Walker has said "Curtis is oozing with potential and I am looking forward to working with him." This is Southampton's third signing of the Summer transfer window.

Former Manchester City Youngster Joins Southampton


Joan Angel Roman has signed for Southampton on a free transfer after being released by Manchester City. He is another Adam Walker signing that looks destined for a bright future. The Spaniard plays in an attacking midfield role but can also drop into the centre of midfield.

Good idea but on my save Norwich got relegated :/ I did sign Pedersen who played for Blackburn and I might have a look at Moses from Wigan!

Andrews Signs For Saints


Experienced midfielder Keith Andrews has joined Southampton from West Bromwich Albion for a fee of £700k. The 31 year old has expressed his relief at joining the Saints after not getting many first team opportunities at West Brom. Adam Walker has warned Andrews that he will have to fight for his place in the team and he faces tough competition from fellow new signings Morten Gamst Pedersen and Pavel Horvath. In other transfer news, Steve De Ridder has left Southampton for Reading for £500k.

Southampton Loan French Striker


Inter Milan striker Yaya Sanogo has signed for Southampton on loan until the end of the season. He made one appearance for the Serie A runners up, scoring a goal in the process. The French forward has also made one appearance for the France U21's and also scored one goal. Adam Walker says "Yaya is one of the best young players in the world. He has the potential to be a world class striker and I know he can make it with us." In other transfer news, Southampton goalkeeper Shwan Jalal has joined Blackpool for £50k.

Southampton Sign Weligton


Southampton have completed the signing of Malaga's 32 year old centre back Weligton. He is the South Coast sides 6th signing of the season and is set to partner Craig Dawson at the back as the Saints step into the Premier League.

Lowe Makes Loan Permanent


Blackburn midfielder Jason Lowe has turned his loan move to Southampton a permanent one. Adam Walker was obviously impressed by the youngster who can also play at right back and had to cough up £3.3M for the Englishman's services. Young Lowe has stated that the move was too good to turn down and couldn't wait to rejoin his team mates. Premier League football must also have been a factor in his move.

Three Keepers Join Saints


Veteran goalkeepers Gabor Babos, Brian Van Loo and young Hobie Verhulst have all signed for Southampton. 37 year old's Babos and Van Loo have both signed on a free from NEC and FC Groningen respectively while Verhulst, 19, has signed on loan from AZ Alkmaar. In other transfer news, Saints goalkeeper Bartoz Bialkowski has joined Burnley on a free after his contract expired.

Southampton Loan Ephraim


Southampton have loaned QPR player Hogan Ephraim until the end of the season. He is set to replace Iago Falque who played in the attacking midfield position like Ephraim. The 24 year old is excited about the prospect of first team football which, when he returns to QPR, he hopes will cement him into the Hoops squad. In other transfer news, Jason Puncheon has joined Bolton Wanderers for £1M.
