2013-01-13 17:37#76983 PaukerJ : Luis Suarez out of Liverpool?! Never! What are going to be your signings? Nice results btw, and the Swindon match was quite good for Shelvey!

The issue I have with Suarez is that is very inconsistent; he can easily go three to four games without a goal. The annoying side of this is that when he does score it is usually an important goal. He is becoming more of an impact player when instead I need him to be making an impact from the beginning.

On a side note he has scored a very important goal in our European journey which you will find out about in due course.

Thank you for reading Pauker.

Transfers: Players Out

Joe Allen Tottenham Hostpur
Details of Transfer: signed for £10million with a proportion of the amount being paid to Liverpool FC in installments over the coming months. Not an ideal deal for the club but Allen was not getting game time and he wasn’t going to anytime soon so it was time for him to move on/

Jordan Lussey Torquay United
Details of transfer: signed for £24k. He never played a game under my leadership and he was never going to become a Premiership standard player so it was time for him to go on.

Oussama Assaidi Galatasary
Details of transfer: signed for £8.5million. He had a very good season at the club and put in some great performances. With Griezmann and Lamela being brought in for big transfer fees I needed to make sure they got more game time than Assaidi. I cannot complain whatsoever about how much money I got him and I wish him luck at his new club/
At you questioning Suarez. What kinda role do you use him in?

I struggled with Suarez my first season, but i used him as a poacher. That was wrong of me. Then I used him as DLS, and he netted 44 times over the season. No major injuries on him though. So just find the right role for him in your formation and he should be a major success.

I use to play him as DLS but he never produced, it didn't seem to suit the formation and him getting goals was like getting blood from a stone. I changed his role to poacher and that appeared to have a good impact and he started to get goals. He is still getting goals don't get me wrong, they just don't seem to be consistently going in.

Thank you for reading and commenting Slogh.
Suarez leaving? Will be interesting to see who you bring in to replace him. Anyone in mind? :/

The fact that I don't have anyone in mind or have any ideas of where to start in replacing him is the only thing that I am keeping him. He will have to perform well for the rest of the season in order to be a Liverpool player next season - knowing my luck and moaning he will become the prolific striker I know he can be as the rest of the season goes on.

Thanks for reading Rookie - have you any suggestions of a replacement? Think I am making a mistake in my thinking/future plans?

What an unbelievable effort by my team. Yes we won the Premier League but this achievement has to be up there with that in terms of sheer brilliance. We totally dominated the game and it looked like Real Madrid had no idea what to do. Suarez, who I have slated this season, just showed that Liverpool FC still need him as he came up with the goods. It was an all round brilliant team performance and I cannot wait for the next round. Bring on whoever it is!
Excellent story mate... I wonder who is your key player and how borini is playing for you.. i can see him scoring a lot but in my Liverpool save he cant even hit the target...

B.T.W. Good wing against Real!! :) Keep it up!!
Absolutely Brilliant result vs Madrid. Love this story! No way you can sell Suarez now!
Thank you for the kind words. Borini is playing out on the wing and is performing at a good consistent standard and is getting the goals surely but slowly. Despite Suarez's poor inconsistent form Borini still doesn't get a game in his preferred position of poacher.

Thank you very much. It was an amazing match to watch; well the second leg was. There is still a possibilty of selling Suarez. He has until the end of the season to really prove his worth which will be hard with my very high standards.
Hi m8,im a new guy in this forum and i really like ur Liverpool story so far!Great results well done!! I also manage Liverpool and in my 3rd season im doin well but havent won some trophies yet, though i think ill be doin it soon. About suares,i had the same problems,he is playing 50+ games per seasson and a total of 20 goals, not a good number for a team that wants "something more".I was planing to sell him too,i was too close of gettin Cavani but lost him the last second from Man City.I decided to keep him and if i find somehting good then i'll sell him(got backup for him Matia Destro) but at the age of 28 with some good players next to him he became a goalmachine!! if u want to replace him, imo,u should do it with a world class striker(check Ademilson,i heard he is becoming great),splash the cash :D

P.S. keep the story runnig m8!!good luck

I am honoured that your first post on this website is on my story. Thank you.
It is disappointing that you haven't won any trophies yet but don't give up on it and I am sure they will come.

Capital One Cup Final

Newcastle United vs Liverpool FC

This was a commanding performance from start to finish and we clearly deserved to win the competition. It is not a competition I care much about and it was used this season as much of an opportunity for the players who are first picks to show what they are capable of. The youngsters shone throughout the competition and I really do think the game time, against a range of teams, will really have helped their progress.

A great team effort and I will be hoping for more success in the not too distant future.

A bit of a mixed month with all my strikers being far away from their top form which is certainly a worry. Pacheco has started to doubt his abilities which is far from good as I need him to be playing instead of the far from consistent Luis Suarez. The highlights of the month have to be the win against Manchester United, as a result of a bizarre free kick from Jack Robinson and the comfortable Capital One cup win against Newcastle United. I am worried about our inability to dispatch of teams yet dominating possession. We have been in this situation before and we all know how that ended.
