Another class update!
Mitrovic is great and I totally agree with AVB that he will be able to fill Martinez's shoes in, even id he may be too small for them :P
Awesome, awesome updates here.. Mitrovic is a boss (play him as an AF)
FMHunter Thank you :D

Josh ... I think i'll pass ;)

Pompey LOL, thank you and I'm just hoping he can carry on his form from the end of last season!

Jeremy Cheers and I have been! :)
Nice update again.

If it's ok I have a question for you. I'm new to fm as of maybe 2 weeks ago. I'm a spurs fan and have been playing mostly as spurs trying things out.

Anyway what you seem to be an expert at is transfers. How on earth did you manage to sell adeboyor for 7mill?? The best I can get for him in the same window as you is like 2.5mill,only 500k up front and he demanded I pay him 50k a week for the next 3 years haha.

Thanks in advance.
Wow, this story has raced on since I last read it. A real hands over eyes moment to see Arsenal relegated but hey, you can't touch our unbeaten season record :P Keep it up, this story oozes class!
Nbg Thank you. I'm playing on the original database, which is probably why I was able to get so much for Ade. IIRC, I had to pay him to leave too :P

Paddy LOL, spoiler: they're top of the Championship as it stands! & Thank you!
Really enjoying this story Nick, keep it up mate
Hello Nick,

You have struck a nice balance with well written articles and nice presentation in the monthly summaries. I think you found an efficient way to play through a game quickly while saving your progress through this story board without getting too bogged down and backlogged with match reports, etc.

One suggestion I would make as a new reader to your story to make it even better than it already is would be for some type of index on the main page. The drawback to your success is that the voluminous story is a little daunting to a new reader without some sort of index or table of contents. Just a suggestion.

I'm not too familiar with André Villas-Boas, but I will be sure to follow his career in real life now to see if he can match any of the accolades here. Super job on this save and I admire your dedication to keeping it going. Great job!

Cheers, Arch

PS - this story got my vote for SOTM in April.

Tottenham & Juventus in race for Benfica Youngster.

Tottenham Hotspur are having to battle with Juventus for the signature of Chinese defensive midfielder, Quan Lei.

The 19 year old joined Benfica last year from Chinese side, Liaoning for a fee of £325k and has already made 29 appearances for China, scoring 13 goals.

Juventus and Spurs have been monitoring the defensive midfielder, with both clubs keeping an eye on the 19 year old. It is believed that Juventus and Spurs are lining up bids of around £17m for the youngster.

Benfica remain keen on keeping the young Chinese star at the Stadium of Light, but have already accepted that it would be almost impossible for the club to reject such bids should either one of Spurs of Juventus come calling.
Sounds a pretty good player, especially with a 17 million price tag.
I've a feeling that this will be a very good signing, somehow.
Hopefully you can sign him as I am sure he would be a great addition to your squad!
Congratulations on your first 'Story of The Month' win!

I'm so glad you've won, you thoroughly deserve this award as it ha been an injustice that you haven't won in the past.
This is undoubtedly one of my favourite stories on this website and as I said before you really do deserve this, so congrats man! :)
Josh I hope I can get him, Sandro is getting older and I haven't really come across any good defensive regens, but he looks really good!

LFC :P

Pompey I'm hoping I can get him! I've left the contract to my Head of Youth, so it'll be his fault if I miss out!

Juventus win race for Quan Lei.

Juventus have won the race to secure the signature of the highly rated, defensive midfielder, Quan Lei.

Lei, 19, has been monitored by Tottenham since his move to Benfica just last year. Spurs were keen on bringing the Chinese youngster to White Hart Lane, and saw him as a long term potential replacement to Sandro, 29.

Both Spurs and Juventus had bids of around £17m accepted, however Quan Lei declined the contract offer from Tottenham, instead choosing to go to Italy.

It is believed that Tottenham are now lining up a move for 21 year old Pinto, who currently play's for River Plate in the Argentinian league after missing out on the Chinese Republican.

Pinto, 21, Joined River Plate for £275k from Vélez last year, where he went on to make 21 appearances, scoring 2 goals and grabbing 2 assists.

Tottenham are set to begin talks with River Plate as soon as next week, with Spurs ready to offer around £5m for the services of the young Argentinian.

River Plate would be open to sell to Spurs, with whom they have a good relationship. Tottenham and River Plate announced a partnership together in January 2015.
