Season Seven: March-May Update

I had last left you with us a point away from safety. With a new-found belief, we were looking to climb out of the relegation zone. Could we accomplish this and keep progressing as a football club?

We had some very mixed results in this final period. In 11 games, we won 3 games, drew 4 games and lost 4 games. We claimed a reasonable amount of points, but was this enough to stay in the Championship?

NPower Championship

We survived! We had done enough to stay stay five points away from the relegation zone and we will play in this league for another season. Our Goal Difference isn't pretty, but the most important stat is our point count, which was enough to stay in this league. Now we can build on this for next season to push further up the table.

Vauxhall News

This is very good news for us as it means we can begin to focus on our own youth players. This is a huge plus for us and it is a step towards our dreams.

So this season is over. I will finish up with a season review and a player of the season post. I apologize for the lack of content this season, but I did not have the time I would have liked. I can promise that Season Eight onwards will be have a lot more content for you all to read. :)
Well done on managing to avoid relegation! I know you have been worried about it recently so it is good to see your perseverance has paid off with another season in the Championship! Really go for it next season.
Congrats! Good luck with the play off push next season! :D
Play-offs next season ;) All the best!
You deserved to avoid relegation and now you can build for a promotion push! Great fightback Justic
@JamesG237: Yeah I had known from the start that fighting relegation would be our season. I'm glad that we won that battle and now we can continue progressing :)

@Rablador: Thanks pal, I'm hoping to push for play-offs but not getting there wouldn't be the worst thing :)

@Okikos: Thanks pal, like I said before, its what I'm hoping to achieve :)

@k1rups: Thanks pal, this was a very fun and entertaining season to play :)

Season Seven: Season Review

Our seventh season with Bono went rather quickly and was full of excitement. Here is a run-down of what happened.

NPower Championship

This season was one where we struggled a lot, as we were expected to. Our record for the league season was 11-13-22. We had a shocking start to the season but we managed to turn it around in the end. Our best period this season was from December to March. This was when we played our best football.

We were expected to finish last in the league and be relegated, but we just about managed to stay away from the drop and to survive in the Championship for another season. We did well to improve and to move forward as a club and we can do it again next season by moving further up the table.

FA Cup

We crashed out of the FA Cup after our first game in the competition. Nottingham Forest are a Premier League team so losing to them was understandable. Hopefully we can challenge for the competition title in years to come.

The Final

(Man Utd won on penalties)

Capital One Cup

We fell out at the 2nd round where a BPL team comfortably beat us. I wasn't too disappointed with this but this is a competition I hope to do well in in the near future.

The Final

That concludes my season summary. Up next will be my Players of the Season post. I hope that this has been an enjoyable read for everybody :)
Wigan? In an FA Cup Final? This can't be right xD

I know, very unrealistic :P
To be fair, I wouldn't be too disappointed if I managed to avoid relegation with Vauxhall Motors! Are you going to stick with them? Do you think you can do better than this season in the future?

Season Seven: Player of the Season

Zac Fagan is my Player of the Season for a third consecutive season. As the competition becomes increasingly harder, Zac steps up his game to be a key player for us each and every season. He has been a solid tackler, a great marker, and a great leader. He will play a huge part in our future and our attempts to improve and I hope he can continue to step up his game for the future too.

:'( Smith didn't get it :P
No real surprise it's a defender :P
Great job to survive by the skin of your teeth mate, next season you'll do loads better :D
Thanks for the great comments guys, they really do motivate me to keep going :)

And to answer James, yes, I will be sticking it out with Vauxhall :)
