I'm hoping we can just stay away from relegation tbh

Shanked :
If you manage to get points off the weaker teams you should easily stay up this season and build up to push for promotion next season.

That's the plan! :)
Unlucky with results but the players will learn and they'll feel more comfortable don't fret lol :P good luck for rest of the season

I'm not worried as I know my players can step it up a gear when it matters most. This season is all about escaping relegation :)

Thanks :) I hope so!

Season Two - September

After a very difficult first month, Paul Hewson's Vauxhall Motors was just outside of the relegation zone. Paul Hewson knew that consistency in September would be the key to success. Did he achieve the consistency he was looking for?

We were consistent, just the wrong kind of consistent. Picking up just three points is terrible and has really shook up the club. We only scored three goals this month and conceded eleven. We need to step it up big time to stay in the league.

Relegation looks very likely as we sit 23rd. We are struggling big time and we need to find a way out soon before it is too late. Hopefully we can gain points off our fellow relegation fighters to climb the table.

Here are our fixtures for October:

Hopefully we can pick up some wins and draws during this month. If we can't, we will be looking forward to a very bleak winter period.

Tough month mate, but I'm confident things will pick up and you'll survive :)

Season Two - October

After a very tough month, Paul Hewson and Vauxhall Motors needed a win to lift the spirits in the camp. With the club's goal of avoiding relegation looking less and less likely, something special needed to happen to rescue the Motormen.

We managed to claim six points which is a huge relief but we really do need more than that to survive. Tom Rutter has proved to be our spark in his new position as a striker. I have decided to change formation to a 4-4-2 to see if that can change our fortunes. I will give it another month and then decide whether or not to stick with it.

We remain in 23rd but the gap above us is starting to widen. We need to climb out quickly if we are to have any chance to stay up at all.

November Fixtures:

We have very tough games in the league but we would especially need a win against Altrincham who are just one spot above us. Our FA Cup ampaign starts with a tie at Nuneaton where we will be looking to win. Hopefully we can remain unbeaten this month.

I will leave you all with a song which describes the mood of this story perfectly:

Agh, that song. Hehehhe. In bad times or good times, keep being Bono at Vauxhall!

I won't quit, I can promise that :)
I love how you left that song at the end of the post... really fits the mood :/

Pity to see you doing so badly after promotion, hopefully you will find a way to get Vauxhall back to winning ways.

We Will Battle On

"We haven't been at our best and I think everybody knows that. We have struggled to come to turns with the Blue Square Bet Premier. We haven't been able to match the other teams. We have lost games left, right and center. We tried a change in tactics, same result. There is something missing and that something is the belief and passion that comes with putting on a Vauxhall Motors jersey and playing for the best club in the world.

Why don't we have the belief or the passion? There are a number of reasons. The club can't afford to give the players full time contracts, we are not a reputable club, our debt is growing every minute and most importantly, we haven't supported each other. We haven't played for the club, it has been a "everybody for themselves" situation so far this season and this needs to change.

The players have lost their confidence and they need you, the fans, to drive them on for ninety minutes, every single game. That's what it takes to win. That's what it takes to become successful. Every successful club has a proud and passionate fan base. We, the players and the staff, will battle on until the end. But the question is; will you?"
