@PaukerJ, I don't think I want Cattermole to teach others how to break legs :P
@ebEliminator, cheers mate, still a long way to go to get to the Premier League though! :)
Great signings, and I think Paddy is right, you are absolutely motoring ;)

Hopefully Lee Cattermole can help Vauxhall break their way into the Premier League!

See what I did there?

No? No...? :(

How about you leave the jokes to the others next time? ;)

Season Eight: October Update

After our fantastic run of form, we found ourselves top of the league. We were looking to stay in a strong position to battle for promotion. Could we do it?

Results

And the answer is no we could not. We won our opening game against Ipswich, but from then on, it went from bad to worse. We struggled in the four games and picked up just two points. I was targeting nine points this month, but we only managed to pick up five. Very disappointing for us.

NPower Championship

We have dropped down to second place and we could drop down to third if Everton win their game-in-hand. We are still in a strong position and hopefully we can stay there.

November Fixtures

We have six tough games next month, including playing 1st and 3rd placed QPR and Everton one after the other. Hopefully we can claim 8 points from next month to help us in our promotion quest.

Mark Bunn: Team Slipped Up

Vauxhall Motors' recent signing Mark Bunn spoke to us today about his side's recent drop in form. The veteran shot stopper has already made 10 appearances for the Motormen, keeping 4 clean sheets.

Mark Bunn: "The last month hasn't been good at all for us. We started the season off very brightly and reached the top of the league table, but then we just seemed to lose our momentum and started dropping a lot of points. It isn't the manager's (Paul Hewson) fault, it is the fault of us, the players.

We got carried away with ourselves, thinking we were the best team in the league. We thought that we had the league title in the bag, despite only being two months in to the season. We felt that we were unstoppable, and boy were we proved wrong! Bristol City beating us gave us a shock, and we weren't able to recover from it. Then we started dropping more and more points.

I can promise you that us players have learned our lesson and we will not get carried away so easily again. We are responsible for the club's future, so we must play at our best every game and not to underestimate our opponents. Great teams have fallen from their dominance, we don't want it to happen to us."
This is great. Come back fighting and win promotion!!!

Thanks mate :)
Love it, Bounce back next month!
bit of bad luck with some of the results it seems
but you're still 2nd in the championship so guess you can still get that promotion at the end of the season :)

Massive games v QPR & Everton. Could be an indicator for the season
@DeanByrne, thanks mate, hopefully we can bounce back :)
@RandydeB, promotion is all I want :)
@KingPadster, yeah those two games are the two big ones! :)
Na Bunn, blame the manager. It's always his fault :P
