Yeah, the play-offs are all I care about now :)

Season Three: March Update

We came in to the penultimate month of the season knowing that we are almost gauranteed a play-off spot but we needed to pick our form up before the play-offs begin. With the last set of games all about showing our class, results were not important but performances were.

We played very poorly and our results show that. We only scored one goal in four games and I do not know how we only lost two games. We deserved to lose all of them. We need to pick up our form before the play-offs otherwise we will be playing them in bad morale.

Third place is a definite finish for us and we will be proud to finish there. We were expected to finish sixteenth this season but we proved everybody wrong, for yet another season.

April Fixtures

We play the top two teams this month, which does not look good for us on paper. Hopefully we can rally ourselves and play our best football. Promotion is on the line and we need to step it up for the club.

Season Three: Final League Games

With our latest run of form looking very bad, we needed to get some motivation before the play-offs. Could we break our barren spell?

We lost three games but at least we managed a win at the end which is what matters. Obi Anoruo saved us in the end, and he is a hero for doing so.

We dropped down to fourth but we are still in the play-off spots, which is what matters. We have done well to exceed our expectations this season and I am very proud of my players.

Play-off Semi Final Draw

We will be playing Cambridge and I will be looking to beat them comfortably. Hopefully we can do so and progress to the final. I will update after the two legs have been played.

Season Three: Play-Off Semi Finals

After finishing in a play-off position, we had the play-offs themselves to look forward to. We got drawn against a very tough Cambridge United side in the semi-finals. Hopefully we can reach the final.

First Leg

We won our first leg very comfortably. Obi Anoruo proved to be our hero as he scored a hat-trick in our most important match of the season. He is a true legend of the club and he will go down in history if we can claim promotion. It was a wonderful team effort and we deserved the win.

Second Leg

We knew the second leg would be tough for us but we somehow managed to sneak a win against the odds! Two Michaels scored for us just before and just after half time. This made our task very easy, even when Cambridge got a goal back against us. We were the better team over the two legs and we deserved to go through.

We will be travelling to Wembley next month to play the biggest game in the club's history against Forest Green. Will we be victorious? Will we be the team playing in the Football League next season?
Good luck for the playoff final! Biggest match of your career so far. I am sure you will come away with the win and promotion :)
Hope to see Vauxall in the Football League next season- Good luck.

Good luck in the final :) you're gonna need it :P

We Can Do It!

"We have come through so much already this season. The end is near and we want to end with a win. We will be at the biggest footballing stage in the world and the winner will claim promotion to the Football League. This is our dream.

There is much more on the line than just promotion. Vauxhall Motors FC is in debt of more than what it is valued for. If we do not claim promotion, we will suffer the consequences. If we do not gain the financial benefits of being in the Football League, Vauxhall Motors FC will go bankrupt next year.

Football is not about money, however. It is about the passion and the spirit of the players and the fans. I believe in the fans and the fans believe in us. We will go out on to that pitch and we will play our hearts out. I believe in the fans to support us their best and we will go to Wembley to win the final!

I agree with Bono. The win is waiting for you!
Good luck m8 ;)
Thanks guys :) It all comes down to this :P
