Backing

Aston Villa chairman and owner Randy Lerner has backed manager David Beckham in light of recent results and have urged the fans and public "not to listen to rumors".

Villa are still searching for their first win in the Premier League, with their first three matches of October ending in 1-1 draws with Sunderland, Arsenal and Everton.

This has led to suspicions that Beckham could be sacked by the Midlands club despite leading them to an unexpected 8th place finish last season, attracting the attention of clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham.

German club Schalke were also rumored to have offered a contract for him to jump ship to the Bundesliga in the summer, but were promptly rejected.

However, Lerner has now come out to speak about his sought-after head coach.

"David is not going anywhere," said the American. "He has done a lot for our club and I would not think of sacking him at a time like this.

"Although we are on a winless run, we are also on an unbeatable run and I'm very happy with what he's done to our squad defensively. We simply need to work more on attacking and stop relying on Darren (Bent) and we'll be fine."

Villa midfielder Fabian Delph has also urged the fans and the board to back his manager.

The 24-year-old Englishman was given numerous chances to establish himself in 2012/13, Beckham's first season as manager. These chances were what led to the player being the recipient of the Young Player of the Year award.

"The gaffer has shown us a lot of loyalty," Delph remarked. "It's time we repaid him with some of ours."

October: Unbalanced

Unbalanced is the perfect word to describe the style of play Aston Villa has been demonstrating throughout the month. They have been rock hard in defense, with captain Ciaran Clark continuing his display of form from last season. Unfortunately, Wellington Nem seems to have briefly lost his form that made him a contender for European Golden Boy while both Mattia Destro and Christian Benteke are not Darren Bent. Despite their inability to gain three points in the Premier League, David Beckham has led his side into the Quarter Finals of the Capital One Cup after mastering a 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Aston Villa's youngsters are demonstrating their prowess here. Another Villa man has won the Young Player of the Month award, and this time he comes in the form of Jack Grealish, who has been associated with the club since he joined the academy as a boy. He has gotten his chance in the first-team this season and it appears he has taken it. Here in the runner-up position we have another Aston Villa lad in Andrew Black, who has impressed since joining the club from Hibernian two seasons ago.
unlucky with league results but have no fear of the sack :P

Who is Jack Grealish?

In this article, we, the Daily Mail, will provide you with an insight to who Jack Grealish is after he won the Young Player of the Month award for October.

19-year-old Grealish was born in Solihull, England to a family of Irish and Aston Villa supporters. A Villa fan since his birth, he eventually joined the club's academy set-up and was called up to the senior team for the first time when he was 16, although he didn't make an appearance.

Grealish has been impressing in Villa's youth set-up, and this season, has finally convinced manager David Beckham to place him permanently in the senior squad.

Although a natural attacking midfielder, he will be plying his trade on the left wing for Villa, a position he is equally comfortable in.

He has made 1 start for the Lions and 6 substitute appearances in the Premier League, mostly covering for Wellington Nem who has not been able to find form this season. So far, Grealish has impressed.

He also made the choice to represent England instead of Ireland last year and is currently an established England U21 international and a former England U19 player.

It looks like Grealish will be having a bright future at Aston Villa.
Will be having a trip to Malacca, Malaysia for 3 days so no updates for awhile. Thank you all for reading this story and enjoying it (hopefully). I will see all of you on 15th March or so. :)

Kaka's Entrance

Brazilian playmaker and former Ballon d'Or winner Kaká has joined Aston Villa on a free transfer.

Formerly a player for reputable sides like Milan and Real Madrid, Kaká joined Manchester City in the summer of 2012 after falling out of favor at Real, three years after the Spanish giants paid 51 million for his services from Milan. Unfortunately, he also fell out of favor with Roberto Mancini at the Citizens, making only 21 appearances in a City kit in a period of 2 years and has now been released by current City boss Rafa Benitez.

It is indeed a huge fall from grace for Kaká, who won the Ballon d'Or in 2007.

He has quickly signed for another club, however, with Aston Villa boss David Beckham jumping at the chance to sign the 32-year-old.

"I am very happy to be given the opportunity to work with David Beckham and Aston Villa," he said in his first interview as a Villa man. "I've been here in England for two years now so I am at least somewhat experienced in the style of football over here, which will greatly help me establish myself.

"Things did not work out for me at Manchester City but hopefully I can fix my status as a 'Premier League flop' here at Villa. They are going places and I want to be part of that."
