Tutoring
Written by JusticeTutoring is a very important part of training and more and more FMers are taking notice of it with each passing game. Tutoring sees senior players pass on their knowledge of the game to younger players. If applied successfully, the younger player will pick up important skills and maybe even some PPMs from the senior player. It is important to match the right senior players with their fitting youth player partners. A good match will see the youth player grow, a bad match might see them suffer or fall out with their tutor.
So how do you pick the best tutor? Ideally, the tutor is getting regular first-team action, is determined and has good Teamwork skills, is intelligent, and plays a similar role to his younger counterpart. From past experience, I have found that if the tutor’s Determination is lower than the youngster’s, the youngster’s determination may drop for a brief spell. So I cannot stress enough how important it is for the tutor to have good mental attributes.
It is also important to consider the personalities of both the tutor and the tutee. If they have personalities which come in to contrast with each other, they mightn’t get along with each other very well and this could see them fall out. If their personalities agree with each other, they could become each other’s Favoured Personnel and link up with each other very well. Tutoring is a natural cycle which occurs in every squad, can you make it successful in yours?
