Football Manager Guides - How To Master Training On Football Manager

Role Training Vs Position Training

Written by Justice

Individual Role Training sets your player to focus on the key attributes associated with a role. It is important to understand these are not the only attributes that your player will train at, but the ones that they will place the most focus on. It is ideal to train your players in the Individual Role which they play as in matches, as it strengthens their understanding of this role and prepares them best for it.

Position Training is different to Individual Role Training. While Role Training sets your player to focus on playing in a particular way (playmaker, ball winner, etc), Position Training sets your player to learn how to play in a certain position on the pitch. This won’t train them how to play, but where to play. It is important to understand the difference and to be able to utilise Role Training and Position Training well.

Just read this end to end, ill admit I'm one of those that just let staff take training and wondered why my wonder kids were not developing. Cant wait for FM16 to come out so i can grab a lower league team and properly work with them to bring them to greatness

From what I've scanned so far; very cool and helpful to the casual player; I've become.

Become a bit addicted to sorting the editor these days.....

Many thanks for the efforts of the authors; much appreciated
