Player Preferred Moves
Written by JusticePlayer Preferred Moves, or PPMs for short, are characteristics that your players have. They are how your players act in certain situations during matches and vary from how they move around the pitch to what they do when in a shooting position. If you can train players to have PPMs which complement their abilities and their roles, they will can prove to be very effective.
It is important to have a good understanding of all available PPMs. There are five different types of PPMs to choose from; Movement, Passing, Finishing, Defending and Technique. There are many PPMs which apply to each type. It is worth spending time looking at each and trying to understand how they make a player act and what attributes suit each one. They are all very self-explanatory and easy to understand.
Before applying PPMs, you should consider which ones would make a player stronger and improve his game. You should consider which attributes the player is good/bad at, what position they play and what their role is in the team. You want PPMs which complement the player’s style of play and help him with his game. For example, a composed striker with good shooting would be ideal to teach the PPM “Places Shots”, or a player with a good long throw to possess a “Long Flat Bullet Throw”.
To begin training on a PPM, go to the Player’s page. Hover over Development and go to “Suggest Player Move Via” in the drop-down box. From here, you can select a coach to train the PPM and what PPM you wish them to teach to that player. Make sure you pick the best coach possible to do the job! (It’s worth noting that old players are unlikely to pick up new PPMs)
