Training Workloads
Written by JusticeHow hard do your train your squad? How much is too much for your players? There is a fine line between pushing your players to new heights and pushing them past their limits, and I believe that it is very important to understand how far you can go with training. The right amount of training will see your players grow and develop, but too much may injure them or cause them to retrogress.
How do you find the right balance? Personally, I always stick to an Average workload for Team Training. Most players will be happy to train in this workload as it doesn’t push them too far, but it pushes them enough to be able to see benefits.
Individual Training workloads are a different story. If you are training a player in a new position, you might want to forget about training them in an individual role or individual attribute for a couple of months. If they’re focusing on too much, they may become unhappy with their workload. For individual roles and attributes, Average intensity works well in most cases. However, some players are not so professional and become unhappy with Average or High intensity individual training, and so you may have to set those players to a Low intensity.
Every month, I assess whether a player is happy or unhappy with their training workloads. You can check this in players’ coach reports. If they are unhappy, you will see this in the “Cons” side. If they are happy, keep them on the same intensity. If they are unhappy with the workload, consider dropping it to a lower one. The right intensity will help your players develop at a good rate.
