I know I really shouldn't be signing players that require a transfer fee but I couldn't start a Truro City save without the man, the myth, the legend that is Stewart Yetton. Listed as an one of only two icons for the club under the infomation section, Yetton has scored 219 goals for the club in 309 appearances.

Clearing out the clutter, the fans weren't happy with the release of Joe Broad who has played 335 games for the club.

I arranged fixtures against sides in the Cornwall and Devon area, really just a bunch of confidence boosters to increase form, morale and fitness.

The match against Boreham Wood we absoultely dominated but just could not find a goal but then the next two games we never looked a chance. Highlight and lowlight of the month was against Eastleigh who are predicted to finish 3rd this season, we found ourselves 2-0 up in the first 25 minutes and then 3-2 down, only to equalise late and manage a draw.

Still plenty of games to play, hopefully we should see ourselves out of the relegation zone at the end of September.
Disappointing start to the season but im sure once Yetton starts firing on al cylinders you wi be alright

We were down to 10 men early on against Dartford but lead thanks to Stewart Yetton until keeper Ollie Chenoweth made a terrible blunder to see the game end in a draw.

Following our first win against Basingstoke we lost to the Concord Rangers despite being favourites for the first time this season.

A draw at home against AFC Totton in the FA Cup saw us play them again at Testwood Stadium. After going a goal down Dan Evans received a Red Card and then AFC Totton put us to the sword in an embarrassing display. Lastly a loss to Havant & Waterlooville where we were never in the game finished off another poor month.

A slight improvement, our fixture against Maidenhead in October should give us an indication of where we stand amongst the relegation candidates.

WHAT A MONTH!

After a draw against Tonbridge, Jamie Beasley secured our second win of the season against Welling. In the next fixture we faced Bath City who were leading the competition, Nick Crittenden scored in the 2nd minute to give us the early lead and from then on we totally outplayed them eventually winning 3-1.

We followed up our terrific performance with a 2-0 win over Staines, then with our last fixture of the month against last placed Maidenhead United we claimed a 3-0 victory with Stewart Yetton bagging a hat-trick.

Four points away from the play-off spots and nine points clear of relegation. My job status could not be safer and a push for the play-offs could be a realistic goal if we maintain our current form.
Was waiting to comment on good form...and wow! I was thinking in previous updates you're battling relegation here, but this is major progress. Well done, good luck for the rest of the season.

An injury time equaliser from Nick Crittenden saw us escape with a draw against Bishop’s Stortford. Our match against Chelmsford was a two man show with Stewart Yetton providing two assists for Jared Sims opened his account for the season with a brace.

We progressed in the FA Trophy by defeating a 10 man Basingstoke, satisfying the board’s expectations of us in the competition. This was particularly pleasing after our poor performance in the FA Cup. The defeat against Oxford City saw the end of our unbeaten streak which lasted seven games.

In our final game of the month we drew 3-3 with Sutton United in the FA Trophy First Round which will see us play them three times in a row with the replay and a league fixture scheduled for the first week of December.

Four points away from the play-off spots and seven points clear of relegation. Currently experiencing mid-table mediocrity but considering the rough start I am pleased to be in this position.
I think you can make play-offs and contest for promotion! What a great story you got here!

great work bouncing back from a disappointing start!
